Forgotten Value of Guns

I have a few unique, one of a kind type guns that I bought a while ago, but I've forgotten the value.

But as, if I remember correctly, I can't post a for sale ad w/o a price or ask for offers, I don't know what to do :S I do have a few common guns, but those are easily searched and found in old sales posts.

So, any tips?

Did you try finding them elsewhere and comparing prices?
What about 1 mint condition lada (ha!) or best cash offer?

Scour the classifieds to get an idea on price and bare in mind that most of the stuff there is overpriced. People too often try to recoup their investment when really, in my view, a gun is akin to a car. You can always set a price with the mention OBO (or better offer) to negotiate with fellow airsofters.

Most guns have come way down in price in the last few years, but looking them up online new from retailer, or past sales is a decent reference. Realistically they are only worth what someone is willing to pay for them.

Post your make and model here and probably we could give you the right range of price for it.

And for people mentionning that recouping their investment isn't a must, try reconsidering the fact that nobody will buy a TM bought 500$ in the past with another 500$ worth of upgrades for 800$. Today, people can have a Full-Metal AEG or GBBR for under 500$.

i think its most peoles, we who bought poastic JG m4's back in the day for 5-600 bucks have to accept the fact that they can be had new for under 300 or we can expect to have our ads running for ever.
even TM's that wer 7-900 bucks back then can be bought for little more then the price they sell in Japan with the appropriate uogrades and documents for import.
the days of guns selling for three times their actuall value in japan or the US are long gone with the "legalizeation" of airsoft.
that said if you have say a escort based gun or a Youth Engineering mp5 or something that is compleatly unavailable or super rare then of course there is value there like buyin a 57 chevy for 10 times what it sold for new in 57 but those case are few and far between like the stuff found on colectorairsoft and such.
let us know what you have some stuff may be more rare and thus worth some extra cash.

There are a wide range of prices in the classifieds and some real bargains too.

Well, for example, (its the first thing I just pulled out) is a TM G26 with a Guarder Steel slide (not the cheap crummy aluminum stuff). It comes with 6 mags with all the little pinky tabs.

Don't remember how much this was worth.

Well nes is like
150 for pistol
200 for cnc steel slide n barrel set
30 each for mags so 180
So 530 prolly resell for 400± depending what kind of shape its in and how much use its had.
Keep in mind on intruder a steel slide n barrel set is 300 on ehobby its 180
The mags are 29.99 at most places the pistol is 119-149 depemding where you look
The factor that makes it not devalue too much is that its prety hard to get a full black tm pistol herd due to the import laws (most tm stuff here has smoked frames now)
All those factors id say that 400 is more then fair as one could build the pistol brand new with mags for 600 or less just gettin the pistol itself would be a pain in the arse.
Im sure some would dissagree and maybe think its worth more but i think based on market value for the parts that comprise what you have dictate that 400 is a fair price.
And no im not biased as i dont wann buy it or anything but im sure someone would scoop it up prety fast at that price all the oldschoolers love their TM stuff as do i.

Thanks for the advice, as I dig things up, do you think it's ok to keep asking the values? I really need to just get rid of all my old stuff.

Or just do like i did check ehobby and intruder (baiscally the cheapest and most expensive two places) get an idea of what the stuff costs new and make a reasonable discount based on the fact its used (and just how used it is) say between 10-40% off retail depending.
But of courze if you have somethin that is a limeted run or super rare or "classic" or no longer in production you can likely ask full retail if not more
