Lower Bolt or RA TECH?

So I was wondering what is the different between a lower bolt and ra tech for mp7s. I want to lower the fps to cqb since its around its 400s. I heard ra tech requires taking many parts of the gun apart then putting them back together where a lower bolt can be replaced quicker.

Also, mp7 cqb bolts are like impossible to find in Canada so the only option would be to order from KWA, but is it legal to order airsoft parts from the US and is it going to cause problems at the boarder with the delivery?

You won't have any trouble bringing the low power bolt across the border. The NPAS isn't exactly hard to install, but it will be more time consuming than swapping the bolts.

I think the npas is more versatile cause you can adjust the fps in different tempratures and such oncs its in its one turn oc a allen key and you can fine fune it to your needs. I hear good things about ghe ratech stuffs. As soon as i get my wd 416 itll be rateched out to the max

I'd go with the NPAS personally; it is indeed more versatile as when outdoor temp change you can adjust it in-game if need be

My NPAS wouldn't yield very high FPS when it was set to the highest setting, but combined with the Falcon extended inner barrel is the perfect combo for an outdoor set-up. One downside is the screw in the NPAS stripped almost immediately so I have to physically take it out and manually turn it to adjust FPS. Although, it's not like the extended allen key fit in the longer barrel anyways.

Get the "Low Power" complete bolt. It's easier to swap and handy to have a spare. Fiddling with RATech's NPAS is a PITA. Their hex tool doesn't actually fit...and you have to hold the valve in place as you turn it anyways. In addition, by the time you cram their NPAS valve into the nozzle it's basically filled and your velocity drops so much that you don't really need to adjust it. If you do, you'll end up sub 300fps. Also...there's been word/observations that the steel npas valve strikes the cross pin quite hard...resulting in broken crosspins/nozzles.

In truth...the only material difference in the bolts is that the "low power" bolt uses the Japanese cylindrical float valve whereas the KWA version uses more of a rocket fin type valve (which lets a lot more gas through).

Dynamo was making some "Low power" float valves...it's in another thread. Basically you take the stock rocket fin type valve out...drop in his cylindrical valve. Still fiddly to swap back and forth....and thus why I say to just get another bolt altogether.

The MP7's work great outdoors...but if you want to do it "permanently"...just get a japanese/Dynamo valve, swap it and be done with it permanently.
