Downgrading Sniper spring?

So I'm shooting 60 over the limit right now with my Javelin M24, I'm wondering if anyone has any idea where to get a replacement or downgrade spring: I do'nt want to compress my spring and be left stranded at 400fps.

copressing the spring for months on end may lower the fps by 10 or 20 or may totally kill it and lose 50% or more.
what fps are you looking for and what gun is the m24 based on? A vsr?

Well it's more or less a standard VSR-10 so you could just get a VSR-10 downgrade spring for your target FPS.

Yeah just get a new spring, I don't think it's a good idea to have it compressed like that for so long, you're kind of just shooting in the dark like hectic said. What exactly is it shooting at right now, and what is your goal?

are u sure latency ive been googling and it seems it aps2 based from what i can find?
either way without an fps goal its hard to help, i cant even find the chart i used to choose my vsr spring however pdi has a fps or power listing with their springs.
the smaller version springs 11mm for use with 7mm spring guide come in 1.5j 1.88j and 1.9j that would be 400, 450 and 463 fps aprox.
then the larger 13mm ones to use with the 9mm guide are
APS120. 310 fps
APS130. 350 fps
APS180. 370 fps
APS210. 400 fps
APS220. 420 fps
APS240. 430fps

and now that i think of it the laylax PSS springs are labled the smart way lol
they are sp### in meters per sec. So a sp150 is round 500fps and a sp120 will be round 400fps.

Looks like you're right. I don't know with all these off brands and clones out there these days. I always thought they were the OEM for the Echo1 M28.

I have a javelin m24 and stock it is shooting 445'ish. The spring is very basic without ground or flattened ends (chews up the plastic spring guide pretty good). You could cut the spring a little & re chrono it to see where it gets you.
