vfc umarex hk417 aeg project

Hi guys, I want to start a new project and I'm collecting info before I start to help me scope and budget. Feel free to advise/suggest me on any maker, reseller.

Basically I want to take a stock 417, change the barrel to a 16'' or 20'', extend the RIS accordingly, probably also add a bipod and scope.

This is what i have in mind,

This should do the trick, although it's out of stock at the moment.

Affordable Harris bipod that I use on my 417: http://www.milsig.ca/paintball-acces...adaptors-p-732

I also run an AIM JTCR1 1-4x adjustable optic on mine, looks and works phenomenally on the 417 platform. Anything over 4x magnification isn't really worth the extra heft and money! http://www.airsoftmegastore.com/2743...nal-Rails.aspx

What do you guys use for a sling? I don't like the idea of attaching it to the barrel at the front. I actually have a little bit of play on my barrel.

The Limited Edition HK417 comes as such. And a hard case! And a patch! If you want one let me know, I'll see if anymore are available.

I spent some time on the project today. That flash hider was a bitch to remove. Glued with a pin, damn it!

Until I received my parts from WGC, this is how it will look like for now.

Well seems i wont be getting the sniper kit anytime soon. Wgc was supposed to restock it today but it seems it is backorder indefinitely. Anyone know another vfc reseller beside wgc?

Looks very sweet! What all did you end up adding to the gun? Did you end up purchasing the kit from WGC Shop?

I'm using an L85 sling originally through a fixed rail-mount loop at the front and the buttstock loop at the back. I didn't like the idea of using the plastic loop on the buttstock though, so I made two webbing straps with a D-ring each. One goes around the stock and one around the buffer tube at the receiver. I looped the sling through a D-ring snaphook and I can switch the rear mount point between the two positions.
