G&G Shooting Problems.
Sorry i had to post this on the upgrade forum but yeah. I got the G&G Light MAX and first game i went to it locked up 4 times (pull the trigger and fires, pull after that doesnt fire any bbs and no sound). So I thought it was cause its cold and my motor over heated so i waited a few minutes and it fires again this happened 4 times like i said. So today i was sighting in my new ACOG and i was on Semi i pulled the trigger (shot a bb) and pulled again (never shot) so i was like not again. I put my ear up to the gearbox and pulled the trigger nothing happened... I was pissed hate when this happens so i went to my tool box to look for a screwdriver and when i got back(30 seconds-1 min) it shot again. NOTE: I did put it on full auto for 3 seconds to unlock it but nothing happened! WHAT IS THIS PROBLEM!!!!!!

What type of battery are you using? Sometimes the power of the battery isn't enough to cycle the gun therefore the piston gets stuck on its way into the backward position before it can fly forward, thus propelling the bb out of the barrel. I had the same problem with my A&K Magpul Masada. I was using an 8.4v 1300 mAh battery. After switching to a 9.6v 1600mAh, the problem was solved. 6 months and 10,000 bb's later I have yet to experience a problem.

Either you're releasing the trigger before the cycles over, or you're battery is too weak

Sounds like it could also be pour trigger contacts. Had a similar problem with a G&P, and it was the contacts. Also check bad motor/battery connection. And like someone said from the other post, did ya down grade the spring? My MP5 MAX was shooting 480FPS out of the box. Pretty heavy spring to pull.

Brand new gun, trouble pulling the piston back, 9/10 times it's a weak battery
Either not charged properly or under-rated for the job! |

It's hard to say like I shoot it and it fired a bbs and id I'm on full auto and in the middle of hosing down the trigger it randomly stops for no reason and no sound at all.

Weak battery with tamiya with a ferrite motor and a massively upgraded spring, that could be an issue. I would say downgrade to an m100 and see what happens

I dont know.. I dont think its the battery. its just stops and after about 4 mins its good again.... it has a high torque motor and torque up gears and a M120 Spring im sure its good. It has low resistance sliver wiring.

Could it be that the wiring is screwed up somewhere? ie. Apply power and the wires heat up slightly dislodging the continuity of the wire then when it cools down it goes back? Think flow soldering or the bake your 360 in the oven trick.
Maybe there's a section of wire that's just slightly hanging off somewhere at the connector side.

Let me make this real clear----Try another battery---- Then you have solved it or eliminated a suspect

Ok ill try a new battery... if that dont work would it be the trigger contacts?

the spring that comes in the max guns could be as high as m140s... my m14 was shooting 475~ out of the box. The battery the came with my m14 max died about 2 games later, it wouldn't hold charge. And that was after I downgraded the spring to an m100.
Your trigger contacts will not have burned out that quickly. Though stranger things have happened. Find a buddy with a known stronger battery and try that before taking anything apart. If it shoots more than what it does now, your battery is not strong enough to turn over that setup, or it's a shit battery to start with.

could be the shimming too if it's not the battery
|

I'm not entirely sure if it could be shimming; it can be suspect, but from my knowledge, most manufacturers put too little shims in stock gearboxes, not too much.
Perhaps the gearbox is dry? Not sure if that would cause a complete lockup, but that could be a factor. Other causes have already been said, such as trigger contacts, bad wiring, spring, motor, etc.
