Hello hello! Merry Christmas and greetings from Vancouver! First post here in Airsoftcanada
This question goes to those who own a KJW 1911 MEU (SINGLE STACK!) It doesn't matter if it's the Co2 version or the GG version.
Does the MEU have a firing pin block? The part that secures the firing pin into the slide of a real 1911 (Firing pin block on the real steel 1911) I ask this because I'll be ordering a Baer recon 1911 soon and to my understanding, the KJW MEU is the base gun that Socom Gear used before the trademarks.
I used to own a KJW M1911A1 and it had the firing pin block, not sure if this was also done with the KJW MEU's. In airsoft sense, this part prevents the hammer from making contact with a tab in the rear section of the frame. (The part of the frame where a Marui-based high-capa 1911's hammer would normally stop when it's not cocked.) Do note that this is a SEPARATE and REMOVABLE part of the slide, it is not cast with the slide etc.
And yes, I've contacted someone about my age verification here in BC but I'll probably get a reply in the next month or so because of the holidays. No worries! It's not like I'll be shopping in the classifieds section anytime soon.
