JG HK416 Vs. King Arms M4A1
Simple question. Which do you guys think is better for a beginner gun? The Jing Gong HK416 (New Generation - Metal Rails) or the King Arms Colt Licensed M4A1.
Any and all responses appreciated. |

If you like 416s better, get a 416. If you like M4s better, get an M4. They are both solid guns, and have room for upgrades. M4 will be more customizable externally, but if you like the 416, than get a 416.
I used to make threads like this. ASC generally don't like questions like this. It took me awhile to realize this, but questions involving personal opinion are looked down apon. Both very similar guns and you wont regret buying either. |

From a quality stand-point, King Arms.

The JG 416 is great and I loved mine, but I did replace it with a Kingarms (metal not nylon one) and never looked back
The kingarms is much better out of the box but if you're being pulled to the 416 because of it's look then go for that. |

I didn't post about my opinion (i.e. looks). I wanted to know which is the better gun and will last longer, shoot straighter etc.
Mainly because I heard that certain parts of the gearbox weren't metal on the JG the Shims I think?) If someone could verify the qualities of the internals and say how they would affect the gun, that would be great). Last edited by DarthLakey; October 21st, 2012 at 12:35.. |

KA is a higher end company than JG so obviously KA would be better in terms of internals qualities and their QC would be better also. JG is considered an ACM company so it wouldn't be exactly the best shit.
you would list KA in the same category as G&P G&G and VFC TBH they are the higher end tier of guns.

All depends how much you play/maintain it. they use the same types of components.. they both run great for some people but there are some that have horror stories.. pick the one you want more, you can't go wrong.
I have had no problems with china made replicas (ie: Jing Gong 416, or Dboys 416) or with higher end Taiwan made VFC HK416's. The Hong Kong made King Arms is great starter gun with but the slight difference in performances is negligible especially if you are new to the sport. (and there is no way to measure accurately measure performance unless you use these two side by side) people will ping pong their suggestions based on their experience but really it's all down to your own experience with any new AEG/GBBr in airsoft because every gun is put together by different technicians in an assembly line.*from videos ive seen* Now down to my deciding factor if I were in your situation... If I was going for a Navy Seal operator look, then I personally would likely go with the JG 416.. otherwise the Kingarms M4 works just as good (except you dont get a RIS which will cost you some extra money1)

While King Arms is said to be "made" in Hong Kong, from what I understand they are only assembled in Hong Kong. The body, parts and all are still made in China. (if the factory location matters)
The JG 416 is good enough I guess for starters or as a base for a project gun. |
