Hi all

I received this from eHobby yesterday;

As stupid as it sounds, I'm having issues installing it (it's supposed to be really straight forward).

The idea is that the screw in the carbon part screws in the grip, and the other part replaces the SlideLock lever with a screw that goes trough the frame from side to side.

However, it seems that this screws is just a tad bit too short for me to be able to screw it in. So I either received a defective set with a screw that's too short, or I'm a bit stupid '_'

Also, there's an extra 'rivet'-like piece that comes with it (visible in eHobby's pic, lower-right) , not sure what it is for. It's not threaded and is definitely is the correct size for the screw to get through but I'm not sure if I need this part at all

I believe that extra piece is a cup washer for the grip screw. You may not need it, but it'll probably help to spread the screw's torque across a slightly larger area, should you decide to use it.

That little bushing seems to go between your stock grips and the carbon plate to give a flat surface to rest against...

Probably won't need it as I changed it for a TK grip and is wider

Now I need to find a longer screw... :/

It's not really about thickness, it's about flatness. If you tighten the carbon plate on a rounded surface, it will crack. Carbon fiber acts a lot like glass under stress... it will be very sturdy up to the point when it breaks suddenly.

If the TK grip is a lot wider (I recall it is slimmer that the stock grip but it's been a while), you might have to shim or sand the bushing to assure good alignment.
