Les Baer Orange Tip Removal
Ok so I got a Les Baer today thanks to Eeyore. For the past 2hrs I have tried the hair dryer and boiling water trick to get the ugly orange tip off. Any other tricks that you fellow Les Baer owners had to use.
Thanks in advance |

Nail polish remover
Remove the outter barrel, let the tip soak in it and then scrub it away. |

Just dont do that to the KWA/KSC pistols. Plastic outer barrel.

Ok thanks, I got the orange paint off and realized the orange barrel extension is part of the outer so I hacked it off till my new outer barrel gets here. Now I just have to get the chrome paint cleaned out of the seam so I can separate the two outer barrel halves.

I used a tube cutter to lop off the orange-painted end then emery cloth to smooth the end and return the radius edges, followed with polishing with Mother's Metal Polish.
It turned out well enough for my liking. |

When I did it, I thought I might be cutting it too short by lining my pipe cutter to the edge of the orange paint. When it's all said and done however, it didn't come out as bad as I thought, looked like the pic above with the tapered edge around the barrel. |
