how many people play in kw/how often?
hi, im 15 right now, will turn 16 in a few weeks, and am looking into playing airsoft at flagraiders in the fall/winter and on but i want so background info, first i am aware that there is a pretty strict 18+ age limit or something, but it sounds like there can be excepts for more like 16+ and trust me im not your average 15 year old, (will be 16 as of october 13th). i am 6'4", 230 lbs and play football. i am no stranger to pain. and i wont be using a piece of crap gun from walmart. i have not bought my gun yet, but i have my eyes set on a particular gun. i have a job and thereby my own money to spend on the sport. all i want to know is are there a bunch of guys in kitchener waterloo who play airsoft at flagraiders, how often, and what other info do i need before i join (i.e. can i join?)

fair, fair, i understand. i just want some information if thats not too much to ask, at least enough to know when i could come out and spectate and maybe talk to some of the guys/girls who play an dtry and convince them im not the average 15 year old. ................ btw 6'4" is exactly average height for a 15 year old, at least admit that, but you're right that does not make me any better or more qualified than other 15 year olds

What does it matter if your tough? Trust me, that is the last thing you need to be for airsoft. The first thing you should be is what the law says is an adult, someone who is culpable for their actions and whose name can be published when they decide to go play in the woods and get caught.
Step 1. Use your noodle, the search function is wonderful and you can save yourself some major embarassment. Last edited by The Chad; September 9th, 2012 at 23:26.. |

See the event section and go spectate/help/take picture at a game until you are 18+ best way to get accepted by the community.

Wait your 6' 4"? Wait how does that make you more qualified? So you're tall?

People will be happy to meet you in public venue and show you their gear. If you show respect for what our comunity stand for, you will be accepted and welcomed to play when you turn 18.

no, im not saying be tall makes me qualified that was a typo, im sorry. now correct me if im wrong, do they make the occasional exception for a sixteen year old? i also understand the legalities of it all and that i am not old enough, but i was under the impression that the age requirement was enforced by the community and that if i make a good first impression (which i dont seem to be good at) that i may convince them to let me join. also my parents are ok with the idea, they wanted me to look this stuff up ahead of time with this in mind (age requirements) but my parents also agree that i may pass as a mature/responsible teen, anyways i was just curious

i must say though i appreciate the responses, and i will make a point to try and go out often and start to meet the community and see what kind of gear they use, thanks.

Hosts control the age limit but with great risk. People under 18 are still considered youths and this is an adult hobby, like collecting hookers. |

ok i understand your seriousness....until the collecting hookers part.... but yes i understand, but i thought with the recent change in the law with the new catergory "uncontrolled firearms" that since it was below 500 fps, which means its below the requirement of a PAL if im correct, that means i can legally buy it, correct? well thanks, i'll take this all into consideration
