KJW m4 leaking exhaust.

Hey so ive looked around the forums and only come across this: http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?p=1513837

Unfortunately he does not show how to seal or fix the top of the mag....as some other users bumped the thread to find out.

I have two of my mags leaking gas from the top exhaust port, and no matter what I do I cant seem to seal it... not that I can do to much as I have no idea how to get at the top valves to fix them up! :banghead:

Can you not take out the release valve and seal it from there? That's how I would start.

I don't have a picture of diagram of the mag to see the release valve setup, but I would assume that's where it's leaking from (since that's the only seal at the top of the mag)

Can you take a picture? I'd like to see the top of it. Where is it leaking from?

This is where it is leaking from. Unfortunately there seems to be no info on how to get at this part in any threads. The entire top part of the kj mag seems like it wont come apart and I cant get access to it.

Then the release valve is leaking. Can you unscrew the release valve? A picture of the back of the mag would help.

Well the pins came out some what easily and the plastic cover lifted off. What is in the picture is what I have now.

Unfortunately I cant seem to unscrew it. The valve does not depress all the way in so the screw drive can not get a grip on the grooves... :banghead:

You need to make a custom tool to remove it. They might have purpose made valve core removers for airsoft but I haven't come across one yet. To make the tool just start with el cheapo flathead screwdriver and a dremel, and proceed to remove the 'middle' material while leaving two prongs on the side to engage with and turn the valve. Voila, custom valve core remover : D

So I got that tool finally and I took out the valve. I placed the valve and all the o rings in a silicon bath for 24 hours. Re assembled it and NOPE. Still the exact same leak in both mags. WTF.

There might be some dirt somewhere, if dirt is present inside the valve it might not act like it should, or the rubbers just need replacement.

Where can I go to replace them? They are all different sizes and I cant seem to get one of them off... but its the same with both mags... lubing them up and what not did NOTHING. And they are like 3 months old.

*bump*

I tried again and got all the rubbers off this time. I cleaned the valves and the area where it is screwed in and let them dry over night. I sat the rubbers in silicone again, and then reassembled the magazines and oiled it.

Its STILL fucking leaking from the same place. Both of them. For everyone saying the kjw is such a reliable gun, the magazines sure are a piece of shit! They are not even 3 months old and they are broken....and I kept them lubed and filled with gas all the time.
