P90 Echo one custom issues
Hi, I bought a P90 but it never shoots correctly so i tried to fix it and by the way uprgrade it, so i've changed these parts ...
I have an Echo 1 P90 with piston head bore up cylinder bore up Tappet plate tanio koba barrel hop up Nozzle bore up I think i have a nozzle issue because it goes too far in th hop up chamber and no one BB can goes in the barrel. I 've read somewhere that a "delayer" could fix the situation but i'm not sure... I'm a little bit tired to buy parts for it... If you could help me, i will be very grateful. Mamouth

Don't bump a one day old thread.
Sounds like you have a tappet plate issue. Are you sure the nozzle is attached correctly, and also that the tappet plate spring is attached properly? |

the tappet spring doesn't attach.. it sits in a channel and compresses on the stroke rather than v2/3 where it extends.
Have you tried shooting it with no magazine? Drop bbs into the hopup by hand, if it shoots try a 60 round low cap.. if it shoots, try a midcap. I have little faith with midcaps and E1 p90s. If it shoots fine with a 60 rounder, either stick to those or try a king arms 90 round midcap. A sector chip will not fix this issue if the BB is not falling into the hopup chamber.. the delayer just holds the nozzle back for a fraction of a second longer. If your BB is physically not falling into the hopup on semi, then the tappet is too far forward or the nozzle is too long. Since the tappet is a set length, the nozzle is too long. Here's a question, why would you use bore up parts? Are you putting a barrel longer than 400mm on the gun? What bore up parts exactly did you use? I am not a fan of the E1 p90 gearbox... I've had never ending issues on the one that I had, and ended up just scavenging parts from it since the gearbox would never feed properly. |

Sounds like you installed a random nozzle instead of a P90 nozzle...
And +1... why the bore-up. Theses are for 500mm+ barrels... usually in DMR setups... Not exactly a P90... Actually, I didn't even know they made bore-ups for P90s... |

I buy this gun on airsoft canada, the gun was broke and nothing could let me know .
So the gun has already upgraded parts like that: http://www.google.ca/imgres?um=1&hl=...w=1440&bih=817 After seeing that i decided to keep it and fix it. So the tappet plate is new, the nozzle is a bore up nozzle like this: [URL="http://www.wgcshop.com/wgc2008/main/product_detail1.php?search_From=searchItem&item=DF-CPN20M&search=special&rs=p90%20marui&catid=&cat="] http://www.google.ca/imgres?um=1&hl=fr&client=opera&sa=X&rls=en&channel =suggest&tbm=isch&tbnid=mKMMl6HMKiMe2M:&imgrefurl= http://www.wgcshop.com/wgc2008/main/product_detail1.php%3Fsearch_From%3DsearchItem%26i tem%3DDF-CPN20M%26search%3Dspecial%26rs%3Dp90%2520marui%26c atid%3D%26cat%3D&docid=v_7ZOgX0yCWqFM&itg=1&imgurl =http://www.wgcshop.com/WGC_Shop/images/df_cpn20m_m.jpg&w=400&h=262&ei=n4kuUK_nIqbh0QH7tIG gDg&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=190&vpy=460&dur=3828&hovh=1 82&hovw=278&tx=178&ty=78&sig=115085553316766501733 &page=1&tbnh=151&tbnw=221&start=0&ndsp=28&ved=1t:4 29,r:14,s:0,i:117&biw=1440&bih=817 This lunch time i have try to put the delayer, nothing change on the issue, so i tried to put a little plastic plate of 1.5 mm en front of the gear box to make it less far in the hop up chamber but nothing change...i m going to join you picture this evening to show you exactly the issue. (sorry for my bad english , i'm french =) ) For your question , here i didn't know where buy a marui for a real price and thats why i have an echo 1... My barrel is a tanio koba twisted and my bore up upgrades are guarder for e90. The sping of the tappet plate is at this place, nothing is broke in the Gear Box. Thanks a lot for your help, soon pictures !

do you have the original tappet plate? Is it clear?
where is the new tappet plate from, what colour is it. Also take a picture of the sector gear for me specifically the tappet post that pulls the tappet back. Also describe more on 'doesn't shoot correctly' are BBs entering the hopup? do BBs roll out the barrel? Do the BBs not get hop up effect? Are there multiple BBs jamming the firing. Is it low FPS? Is it inconsistent FPS? (fps low one shot, high the next) You can see this in auto fire if BBs start catching up to shots before while in the air. Is it shooting multiple shots or fully in semi? When i put the mag on the bb are jammed on the hop up chamber , and didn't get in , sometimes one, and only one, goes down but it stays jammed in the entrance of the hop up in front of the lips of the hop up join.
Its a red tappet plate, but to try something, i put the clear tappet place instead of the red one , nothing change.

what was broken about the gun before you decided to replace the cylinder/piston/pistonhead/cylinderhead/nozzle ?
|

When i received the gun, it shoots 1 bb on 3 or 4, sometimes it shoots 2 bbs at once but at 5 meters or less, the hop up was not effective.
The gun comes to me with basic parts in the GB. i decided to put the upgrades parts in, but know, i understand why they comes appart... ( without speaking about the body, some back stock pin (which holds the two sides of the body in one) was broke and there was tape almost everywhere... i ve already fix it)

sounds like you bought someone else's problem.
I'm going to guess the reason why the body was split was because the previous owner tried to fix the feeding problem. Sometimes the gearbox doesn't line up properly to the hopup and either causes a feeding problem or a loss of fps. I'm asking you to take pictures of the original gearbox internals because the e1 p90 gearbox that I had that never worked had a sector gear with a large post to pull the tappet back, and it had a shorter than normal tappet plate (clear) If the previous owner put in a regular tappet plate with that original E1 sector gear, it acts like a sector chip and holds the hopup open for too long and causes multiple BBs to feed. Putting in a normal tappet plate and a normal gearset, I ended up with your problem, BBs would not feed. I fucked around with it for a year on and off, and ended up buying a new gun. |

you can try putting a piece of electrical tape (or any tape) on the front of the tappet plate to force the tappet to sit farther back... but this will cause your nozzle to hopup airseal to be really bad, see if you can get it to feet at least. and if you can solve that, maybe you can unravel the mystery.

adding tape to front of tappet wont make it retract farther. shave the nozzle slightly if you must, then if it wont reseat shave the tappet plate too.

The plate in the stock, you said it was broken, how did you fix it?
If that plate isn't pushing against the gearbox, the gun won't fire probably |
