MP5K won't fire after reasembly

I just installed metal bushings in my MP5K and now that everything is back together it will not fire. Before I put the motor in the grip it spun when I pulled the trigger but with everthing assembled it does nothing. I followed the online mechbox dissasembly guide and a print out of the TM tech manual, everything seems to be where it should and now I'm just out of idea's. Any adivce would be greatly apreciated.

i would go to the airsoft "gunsmith" in your area to make sure everything was properly reassembled. plus you can learn some stuff first hand. there is a list of such gunsmiths in the forums. look it up.

Shimming might be too tight. Make sure that when you screw together the mechbox that the gears spin freely.
Holding the mechbox closed doesn't cut it as the screws put more pressure on the frame then your fingers can.

Also the motor may be too high.

You probably put the motor in backwards. Do you remember which way it was spinning?

you talking about the electrical conections? Those are clearly marked, or do you mean the orientation of the motor in the grip?

You got absolutely nothing when you pulled the trigger, no wind up then nothing?

And

Did you add a stronger spring in there by chance? If so, did you put in a higher amperage fuse?

If you put in a stronger spring is your battery strong enough to push it?

To answer everyones questions no I did not add a new spring as far as I know the gun is bone stock apart from the new bushings. The battery was conected and I tried a second battery to make sure that was not the issue but both batteries had no effect the gun does not wind it makes no noise whatso-ever when I pull the trigger. As for the motor I installed it like the manual said but I tried reversing its position in the grip and it had no effect, anyine know a good airsmith in or around saskatoon?

i had some troubles trying to adjust my mp5 ras, the electric connectors that attach to the motor wouldnt stay tight, the motor would spin free when out of the gun, but when i put the motor back in the gun and tightened it up, the wires fell off of the motor......could be your problem?

yes I though that might have been it but I have had the gun apart an together quite a few times and only found that the positive connection only popped off once(when I put the motor in differently) and seems to be staying in place now. I also double checked the gears as well they spin freely and the anti-reversal latch is functioning fine.

Did you get this problem solved?
I'm almost positive that it's a shimming problem. Because you put new bushings in, the gears need to be re-shimmed so that the gears will spin freely. Tankdude is probably right... there's too much resistance in the gears for the motor to crank it. BTW, why did you change the bushings if you didn't upgrade the spring anyways?
