GBBR M4 smallest barrel size

What would be the smallest possible outer barrel size you could buy for a GBBR M4?
I'm thinking of having the barrel stop halfway on a 7" free float rail.

There are 7" barrels and I believe I've seen a 4" too.

Madbull makes a 4" rail/barrel combination. AFAIK, it is not compatible with GBBR's.
