Range and power? Want a decent RoF too? Try an AUG. Awsum for beginners, and so many upgrades, it will last a LONG time.

I agree. Playing sniper in paintball is just playing paintball. Playing sniper in airsoft is very close to real snipers in a sence that it's one shot, longuer ranges and harder...
You better start with an AEG so you get the feeling of ranges and how things are going. Not to mention, it's cheaper to start with an AEG. Just to let you know, a stock sniper rifle, except the gas one, won't do you any good since they are crap. You have to put a shitload of money on them to upgrade them. Mine is worth about 1500$ if not more. If you plan on being a sniper in the futur, buy yourself a nice M16A2 to get the feeling of a long gun.

Yep you can't go wrong with the M16 A2.

As you were told in the post that was trashed, pick whatever you like. Nobody can decide for you.
This is like asking what kind of car you should buy; whatever you want. Airsoft 'sniper' guns are not as fantastic as you may think, specially for a first gun. Go to games and see what folks use. Make up your own mind. Get age-verified too, and fill out your profile. |

thanks. I thought many people would say sniping isn't right for rookies and the rifles are crap, so I got a 3 aegs to choose from now. SIg 552, Aug, MP5a4 or mp5-j (what evers better)

That's four AEGs by my count. Choose whichever one you like the look of best. A4 and J are quite similar, but the A4 has a full stock. AUG can be front-heavy. That's pretty much all that you need to know.

I don't find my AUG to be front heavy at all with a battery in it.
It's an excellent choice though. I'm currently looking at a tightbore for mine (for accuracy), but I want to chrony it as is first becuase I've upgraded the spring, piston and gears and I don't wanna go over field limits. |

Darn good choice there. What FPS are you getting right now?

I'm not sure yet, it hasn't been chronied by me with the upgraded gears and piston, with just the spring upgraded I was mid 300s I'm thinking by what it did to a pop can.

Keep it up and there will be no pop can left. Have fun
