Ares AW338 Spring
Does anyone have any experience with the Ares AW338 Spring sniper rifle? I'm about to buy one and would like some advice as to which after market parts fit this gun.
It says in the ads for it that it is VSR10 compatible. However I have read that triggers sears and some inner barrels will not work on it. |

importing
I'm not sure to be honest. My buddy got one from Ehobby snet right to his door no issues at all final cost was $400. To buy one here the cost is $590 plus taxes plus shipping.

Wow, that looks interesting, but my translator didnt do a damned thing. I can't find any info on this gun. I need to know the inner barrel length, will any VSR10 aftermarket parts fit etc?

I have one. as for the aftermarket parts, I have no Idea yet.. bought a spring that is for the KA Blazer and it didn't fit. Cylinder is a bit smaller in diameter.

Blaser
I have the Blaser as well. Damned thing won't cock at all. It looks cool, but I think the Aw338 looks better.

Yeah, looks more cool. I tried modifying the inside of the piston (sorry for my first post, its a piston, not the cylinder), to make room for the spring that I bought, and it did fit. But something in the trigger assembly won't hold it in place when you cock it.
Here's mine: http://airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=140434

I saw your add and I wanted to jump on it, but I'm 100% sure it would get seized by Canada border services.
As for KA Blaser...very dissapointed in it. |

I'm pretty sure he's selling it from Elmira, Ontario and not the Philippines. Its already in-country.

There's a really simple answer why no one has respond and why you can't find any info. ARES is KING of proprietary and I'm guessing no one has been able to either upgrade or find parts for that gun. If you don't know, ARES are known to do their own thing in which it becomes very difficult to work on their guns. There might be people trying to find parts or modifying parts to fit. If you go ARES, you're almost stuck with using their parts and aftermarket support is rare.
