VFC Scar-H to Scar-L

Can I just replace the lower receiver on my VFC Scar-H to make it a Scar-L?, I ask cause its easier to get 5.56 mags then to get VFC 7.62 mags, I have a bunch of m4 mags that I could be using if that's the case.

Thanks

oh ya its an AEG

I have first hand experience I measured my H upper with a friends Scar-L 2 weeks ago and there is 1/2 inch difference

I went over all the options as well... and still buying the unfindable and too expensive VFC mag is the best solution.

You can mod 20LR PMAG, but it will cost you the same

The gear box is exact same yes the H body is longer hence the longer nozzle and metal spacer that goes in front of the gear box,

If you replace the nozzle with a standard m4/m16 you can put it in the scar L body

There's also a 1/4 washer behing the mechbox.... the scar-l lower will never fit on the H upper....

Just buy some from ehobby or red wolf..... there always in stock and they came in like 3-4 days. You ojnly need like 1 pack, 160 rounds. More then enough for a game...plus most 25 hour milsim games limit you to around 300 rounds...unless your a kid who goes to paintball games and sprays like a mofo.

Plus the scar l is for little people. Hence the L. Its proven by science.

LOL far from being a kid or little for that matter, would just like to make better use of the m4/m16 mags I have that's all and have the ability to grab a mag from a team mate in game if need be.

If you wanted to have mag compatability, you should have researched first into the differences between the scar L and scar H.

The Heavy lower is longer than the Light lower, so even buying a new lower and trying to replace it isn't going to work. If you honestly want the mag compatability between friends and teammates, sell the H and buy an L.

If you plan on keeping the H, your options for mags are limited to VFC and the 20LR Pmags. In order to use the 20LR's, you'll have to do modification. Most people seem to opt for modding the mags, where as I've gone and modded the magwell. Truthfully the only reason it seems for the raised piece of plastic in the magwell is to keep the user from using other company mags, making it proprietary to VFC. Since we don't really get much in terms of warranty, I went ahead and removed their dickbag move of a design.
