KJ M4 metal lower receiver swap. Need Help!
So my KJ M4 metal lower receiver finally came in the mail today. I had the parts out of the plastic receiver already, so I got right to reinstallation. My problem is getting the hammer and hammer spring back in; I am not sure how/where the hammer springs are supposed to sit. Also, do you replace the hammer then trigger, or trigger then hammer? If someone could explain (maybe even with some pics ^.^) how to get the hammer and trigger back in, I've got the rest (safety, full auto sear, etc).
Thanks for anyone with info! : D |

I've only torn down and rebuilt one GBBR to date, but I would think it's trigger then hammer.
When in doubt, there's always Google + Youtube. |

Lol, I google and youtube searched for 30 min before posting this. Nada.
The order does look like hammer then trigger, but then again I took the hammer out first when disassembling so I dunno... It's really the spring placement that's killing me. There doesn't seem to be a logical place/position to rest both ends of the hammer spring, fml |

The springs will always be a PITA, especially when you're trying to line up holes, but it's easier on a GBBR than on real steel. Take you're time - the springs/pins will eventually fall in place.
Reassembly is in reverse order. ALWAYS in reverse order. And it will always take longer than disassembly (blame the springs). |

I took my time this afternoon and got everything reassembled. The look and feel of the new all-metal body is SEXY! The sound of the hammer striking is also changed dramatically to a sharper sound, closer to that of the RS. With the all metal body and cradle upgrades, the kj is a nice platform ; D
