KWA M93R nozzle springs
So my parts finally arrived to replace the broken nozzle (p.#6) and the 2 springs that sit on top of it and pull it into the breech on firing (p. # 107). I reassembled everything and the gun shot great for 1 or 2 mags, but then I noticed the nozzle wasn't being pulled back on firing and thus wouldn't chamber the next bb. The cause was that the springs had come off their pins inside the gun. I don't see how this is possible though, as the breech block has 2 grooves that the top of the pin rides in, locking the spring in place.. but apparently not.
My question: Does anyone know how / if there is a proper reinstallation method for the 2 nozzle return springs (p.#107) that will keep the springs in place? If pics are needed to solve this I'll post them. I bought this gun 2 weeks ago and haven't been able to even try it since, now that the replacement parts are here I don't want to break them and need to get more. Thanks : ) |

I am assuming the springs are riding off the blowback nozzle correct? If so you could take a needle file and very gently file the smallest notch in the pegs. Be careful not to remove too much or the strength of the pegs may become a weak point. But I have had several KSC guns like that and usually they have a very small notch to help retain the spring in place. If you do this remember to remove very little and test and retest. You can always take more off if needed. If the springs are coming off the blowback housing (part 27) you could be ghetto and simply add a drop of superglue. I have seen guns like that before and hey it works! Hope it helps. Jordan Last edited by jordan7831; April 14th, 2012 at 14:38.. |

Thanks for the quick reply. Lol, I had come up with both the (ghetto) superglue idea, but like you said it works, AND filing a notch into the pegs. I'm going to open it right now and see if there are indeed precut notches that I didn't see before. I don't want to modify it if I don't have to though, as the gun should presumably work perfectly the way it is, as no parts are broken... o.O meh I'll give her a go

What side was the springs coming off from? The metal housing or the plastic blowback chamber? I would only modify the one that is giving you problems. The superglue method is actually pretty good for saving time if you take the gun apart a lot for tinkering and dont give a shit if you cant remove the springs. I've bought a KSC P226 like that and it saved me butt loads of time when I was tinkering with it.

I modified the plastic nozzle to have notches where the springs attach. I've test fired 2 full mags, which is the most I've gone thru yet : D semi, 3 round, full auto all work good. It seemed like the springs were coming off at the nozzle end; the pins are longer where they connect to the breech. If they come off again I will superglue them in place, I have replacement nozzles and springs anyways. Thanks for the help, or more, encouragement : p

how did your nozzle break if you dont mind me asking? through normal use? did you just get this pistol?

I bought the gun used from someone off the ASC classifieds, went and test fired it and everything was good. On the second mag once I got home, half the nozzle ejected out of the gun... it looked pretty cool, but sucked at the same time lol. So to answer your question, it broke through normal use so I just ordered 3 extras. However, there is a design flaw where they put a pin through a stress point in the nozzle and this makes it prone to breaking here (it's where mine did). The guy I got the gun from said a custom metal one is in the works, but I haven't heard about one available yet.

Just look at the KWA's forum, you'll see plenty of people with the same issue. When I first got the gun, brand new, mine broke after a mag or two. I also had to replace, fix, do whatever needed to the return springs (as mine broke twice along with the nozzles). At some point I even used thick elastics to replace the springs (was working good but they were so thick compared to the post that holds them they occasionally got out of place. Superglued and it was fine) Now what I did was to buff the top of the slide just a little, above the where the nozzle sits. This, with a good amount of lube (don't overdo it) seems to bring better results, for now :P Question for you Rommen: Is your gas block (part 27) in aluminium or plastic? |

Full auto pistols are such a pain in the ass to deal with. Seems that they're all problematic over the long terms compared to a similar model in semi only.

No kidding. Look at KSC glock 18c for example. So many of them have problems on auto.

And the KSC Glock 18 is one of the better full auto pistols. At the very least, if they're not problematic, they're much higher maintenance than semi pistols.
