VFC M4 SopMod Barrel Help

I'm interested in buying a tightbore for my M4 and was wondering if I would be able to use it without having to change anything else. The stock length of my barrel is 38cm and the barrel I'm interested in is 40.7cm. Would that extra 2.7 centimetres make a difference or would it be fine?

If anyone else has a VFC M4 or anything similar, could you suggest any barrels that I could look into? The one I'm looking into is the Modify Hybrid from TorontoAirsoft.

It'll be fine, however, you should use the 3-rib bucking that comes with this barrel (there's one included in the tube). Note that it can be a very tight fit in your hopup so take your time and lubricate the exterior (but NOT the interior) of the bucking. It can tear if you're not careful.

Nah I don't think you'd need to change anything else. I just installed one of these Hybrid barrels a couple weeks ago, and really the only issue I ran into was the crazy tight fit of the bucking into the hopup chamber (a Modify Accurate Hopup of all things, which you'd think would be an easier fit )

I used Superlube grease to grease the outside of the bucking just a TINY bit, while avoiding the very small area where the nub window is. After that, take your time. Literally budget an hour for pushing that bastard in there if you have to..

The upside of the tight fit is that the seal will be spectacular.

My vfc m4 has KA hopup chamber with guarder clear and madbull tightbore barrel combo. I love how the C clip holds the barrel snug and there is no movement at all. I did try the new modify hop up chamber but the gears were too fat and ended up scraping against the dust cover preventing it from closing all the way when you hit the bolt release.

Go to Airsoftparts.ca

Jugglez (ASC name) runs it and is top notch.

You'll find a ton of tightbores and stuff under the AEG Internals section http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...ed52ef8a40877f

While you don't technically need to do anything but swap the inner barrel out...you may want to consider swapping the hopup unit and hopup rubber at the same time.

im looking at the Madbull Barrel for the M4, and the length is 363mm. would that be ok if my outer barrel is 380mm? would that two centimeters make a difference?
