Half Masks
Hello,
I was reading the requirements of play on one of the fields here in Calgary, and I noticed it said it needed full face protection. "Okay then," I said. I already have a pair of Arena Flakjaks, and I really don't want to pay for a full-face mask, and I've narrowed it down to two different half-face wire mesh masks. #1 is the ACM Version 2 Mask (The one that covers the mouth, nose, and ears) and #2 is the TMC Version 2 Mask. From what I see, the ACM is lower profile, but then the TMC would be more durable (I believe). Both cost $25, so really, it all depends on which is mroe high-quality. Does anyone own any of these masks? Opinions? Decisions? Suggestions? Thanks!

This is a question best asked on one of the local Calgary boards, everyone else would be just guessing.

I picked up one of those version 2 half face mesh masks (the one that covers your ears) and HATED it, it just did not fit right and would screw with my goggles. The version 1 however, i love. Fits just right with my few different types of goggles, just no ear protection. Now i can't remember what brand these were (i think TMC, but not sure), just that the version 2 with ear protection is a mess!
No idea if it would be considered "full face protection", or not, just my experience. |
