KSC HK45 confirmed release date
KSC Japan version HK45 is expected to hit Japanese market on March 24th 2012. What this mean are that the KSC Taiwan which will be Umarex version, will release shortly after. The good thing about KSC JPN come out are that aftermarket company like RA-Tech and Shooter Design can begin making nicer Aluminium/ Steel metal slide Prices: ~$243.75CDN from Japan Magazine: ~$50CDN before anyone scream pricy, here's the comparsion of price between KSC Japan and Umarex licensed USP Match Umarex:$194USD KSC Japan:$238USD KSC Taiwan: $175USD Historically, KSC Japan is approximately 30% pricer than KSC Taiwan. Umarex LICENSED is about 20-25% cheaper than KSC Japan. Ballpark:$170-190CDN for umarex version, mag price probably $30-45CDN per mag. Mag price really vary, I've found KSC SP2022 mags vary quite a bit; KSC Japan: 50-65USD KSC Taiwan: 29-45USD (I'm not joking, I found 30CDN/mag which is almost unheard of for KSC Quote:

I'm with you, just doesn't stand up the awesomeness that is the USP. Even if it's the successor and "improved".
I do have one question though, is the rail standardized this time or is it still proprietary?

They definitely hit a homerun with the design on the back of the mags. Other than that, the pistol looks like a generic made up gun.

compact version. less "modern" goofy shit, more post-2000 1911 inspired design. Apparently they've put the grip angle more like what the 1911 was like, and did their best to drop the bore axis closer to the hand. Less recoil flip, better ergonomics.

Obvsiously you did not look, a retailer in Canada stocks them. They're a forum sponser (hint hint, one of those that have a banner right top)

I have seen the KWA's version, but those white letters plus that big warning sign on the slide turns me off...
