King Arms M4 firing problems
Hello,
Ive got an M4 by king arms, that Im trying to fix and it has me scratching my head at the moment. The gun itself feeds perfectly, and handles a high-rate of fire with no miss-feeds. The gun is pretty quiet as it is, there hasnt been any modifications done to the gun. It is shooting around 350 fps also. The problem it was giving me at first, was it would occasionally stop shooting, I would adjust the motor height just slightly and it would begin firing again. As these seems to have sorted my problem with the gun no longer firing, it now shoots full auto with a slight trigger pull in semi. If I pull the trigger to the end it fires as it normally should in semi auto, but if I pull it back about 80% it fires in full auto. I have checked the cut-off lever from the outside, and it doesnt seem to be jammed, it is springing back into place no problem. I had taken it apart a week ago, and it didnt seem to show any signs of wear, any suggestions on what it may be? Thanks for any help! |

The king arms doesn't have any ears for the selector plate... that is if I get what u mean by ears. There are not tabs that make contact with the selector plate. I verified it today and the selector is pretty much brand-new also, no buildup on the metal part that makes contact.

The switch assembly trolly could be worn. The edge that the cutoff lever engages. If the edge is rounded, the cutoff lever won't push it up every time on semi. Take a look at that.

Just to update as I know many KA owners with the full auto in semi problem. I replaced the cutoff lever on my KA M4 with a Modify cutoff lever. It is now working as it should.
The tip on the old cutoff lever looked worn so I guess it wasn't engaging properly. |
