ICS M4 anti-reverse lever problems
Hey guys...so Im about 5 hours into this...its really frustrating me. I rear wired my m4 and went well. I put everything back into the gearbox as i took it out and now i think the problem is the reverse lever. I have to hold it down in order to get the gears to spin..is this normal? I cant get the gears to spin without holding it down or they just seize.
Any help would be appreciated. |

You have the ARL in reverse and instead of stopping back spin, you have it stopping the gears from going forward.

i cant see how it would go in any other way. can you show me a pic of how its suppose to go in?
I just dbl checked and I can spin the gears fine without the motor in. i dont have to hold down the lever at all. when i spin the gears the latch ticks on the bevel gear when its catches. im stumped.. Last edited by Reignman; February 26th, 2012 at 03:26.. |

What exactly is the problem? With the battery hooked up it won't turn the gears? Does the battery get hot?

Does the gun fire at all? Or do you need to hold the forward assist to work?

the motor siezes, the gears wont turn, battery gets hot - because nothing is moving.
i am trying to run it with the upper off. it wont work unless i hold the lever down so it cant stop on the bevel gear. when i hold the lever down it works great. Last edited by Reignman; February 26th, 2012 at 04:17.. |

motor leads are put on backwards, swap the motor wires. if you are looking down onto the motor from above, the pinion gear should be rotating counter clockwise.

ok so i think the trigger switch assembly must be pooched..
i noticed on the back of the assembly there are the + and - leads that hit the selector plate, there is some visible burn marks there. will a version 2 trigger assembly work or do i need the ics assembly? What do the leads do when they rest on the metal part of the selector plate? Do they need to be there? |

Give the store a call today if you're bored, talk to Hux or Sheldon and if they aren't busy with customers will troubleshoot with you. They've worked on plenty of ICS guns, and we have your motor connector and ICS switch assemblies in stock if you do need them.
