M4 to a M249?

I've heard of this mod does anyone have any information on it or have a link?
Although I'd rather just have an m249 the price tag is pretty big

I remember a while back there was a post to turn a M4/Armalite into a Stoner Mk23 LMG..

Let's examine this one closely.

M4:

M249:

How you could get the first to even remotely resemble the second is beyond me. If you want to play with the big toys, you have to put up the big bucks. Sorry dude.

If you mean the smokeys stoner kit, then possibly. Contact a retailer and see if they can get it for you.

Everything is buyable if it's out there, it all depends of how much money you are willing to pay for it. Your best bet is to go around and ask retailers to do a special order.
Edit, I guess I was too late

That smokey kit looks pretty awesome, after that I'd probably just need a box clip and a bipod. What do you guys think?

I'm pretty sure converting to a shrike would be just as costly as just buying an M249
Like there's lots of labor involved working with full conversions, and your time is worth money.... some people more than others
