KJW P226 - Stuck Mag Release

Hi, I just bought my first Airsoft Pistol, a KJW P226, got it out of the box and after loading and releasing the mag a few times without any problems the gun stopped holding the mag in. If I load a mag and hold the gun straight, it just slides out.

Now, I figured the problem is with the mag release which seems to get stuck in the "pushed" position, but I'm not sure if its because of the mag release spring being out of its socket or if its the mag release itself getting stuck in the casing (too tight maybe).

Does anyone ever had the same problem and managed to fix it? Being kind of new to airsoft, I'd rather ask before taking the gun apart and start fiddling with it.

Thanks!

If it's designed like the real steel one there should be spring loaded plunger in the front of the release (closer towards the muzzle) If you can push that in you can try to remove the mag release and find out what the problem is.

here is the ksc version, hopefully yours is designed the same way (IE designed the same as real steel). Take a look at how parts 66 and 67 work together in the lower right corner of the diagram.
