Headsets - Options for the varied consumer
Hi, I currently am fairly new to airsoft, just starting this year and I've been looking lately into headsets as a next buy on the list, as not only will it improve my strategic advantage in airsoft, but also my strategic advantage in Socom 4 with my roomate (I hate listening to half of the hookers on there).
Anywhom, I am willing to pay a fairly decent price for them, but what I'm looking for is longevity, durability, comfort, and of course performance. I was hoping someone could provide me a couple types of headsets, in the low, mid and high cash ranges so that I could get a couple options. As I wouldn't mind spending top end of 60-140 on a good set, while my roomate would prefer the lower ended 30-60 dollar purchase. Any information on the subject would be appreciated, as we all know how aggrivating it can be purchasing a product that proves out to be a waste of money. Also bad feedback on types to stay away from would help just as well. KoMa |

Get a Cavalvy headset with a compatible PTT.
Best thing you can get.

Got the cavalvy, it works like a charm. Bowmans though are just as good. Pretty much all depends on what look you like more.

This begs the question then, which radio goes best with that headset(or does it matter).

Why not the Comtac? I prefer the enhanced hearing capabilities built into the unit since I can hear footsteps much better.

Nothing beats an United-Star PRC148 with MSA sordins, but sadly I've got the wrong wiring for my PTT (maritime wired comms kit...), but i must say both the MSA sordin and the United-Star PRC148 are great, i can't imagine when i'll get them together :P

Well, it's obvious the Cavalvy is the winner when it comes to headsets, though a good discussion on which radio to use will at least help steer my way to getting some decent quality gear.
So far thanks for all the feedback, I'll check out the Comtac radio and the FDC450A's |
