Green Gas or Propane please help

Hey guys noob question here.
Just started getting into this awsome sport....I just got a pair of Glock 32c's hand guns. It can take green gas or propane which is better? Green gas is kinda pricy so If I buy a adaptor kit I could just use little camping propane tanks right? Thanks for any help guys!

It is the same thing. Green gas is propane with lubricants and something to stop it from smelling like ass already added.

Get a propane adaptor, I suggest the one from, Airsoft Innovations as they are a CDN company and using a propane as its $3.00 a can instead of $30.00.

Thanks for the quick reply!

So like the little camping propane tanks are the ones to use? I also know you need to use silicone oil from time to time right?

Yes, the AI version comes with a bottle of silicone oil with it. A few drops every 5-8 mags will do. Get your adaptor first. Not all bottles of propane brands have the same size opening.

Eeyore, Propane is actually odourless in it's pure form. The companies are the ones that add "bitterants" to the propane so that you know if there is a leak or not and to shut off the propane or run away. That's why some propane brands are more smelly than others.

Green gas is propane in pure form with lubricants already added.

If you're shooting indoors it's probably a better idea to use green gas (so your house/basement doesn't smell like propane for months) but outdoors just use propane since the smell will just dissipate.

Now, just a note. People have said the Coleman propane is generally OK and bearable however supposedly one of the least smelly propane brands is the 17 oz "BernzOMatic" ones that Home Depot sells (like the ones that welders use). $3.99+tax at Home Depot (this is the regular "fat" version and not the thin hand held ones like for hand torches and stuff). http://www.homedepot.ca/product/bern...ylinder/977142

Yes thank you, I am aware of this. My statement was to let him know that Green Gas doesn't smell like ass like all the propane you buy commercially.

Propane designed for camping smells worse than camping designed for brazing. This is my experience. They all smell though.

I'm come to like (or at least be used to) Coleman propane, since I use my pistol a lot. Also use my AI impact grenades and my KJW 10/22.

Me too, propane reminds me of airsoft now.
