CA AUG A1 and A2
Hey guys, I am just wondering that are the difference between these 2 models. Is the A1 just green with built in scope and A2 black without the scope but have rails? Also is the A1 called the military version and A2 the civilian version? And what if its a mix of both? Like its green but has rails instead of built in scope. When i say rails I mean just the top rail.
I am asking this because I would like to get this set: http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/action-ra...r-version.html but it says "Conversion Kit for Marui AUG Civil Series". Just wondering which gun that fits onto. |

You have to re-word what you say, it's kind of difficult to understand you. Pictures and links would help too.
To my knowledge of what you said, the "A1" has a built in scope and the "A2" has no scope. It's not very difficult to understand that the A2 allows for a better variety of scopes instead of being forced onto the given scope. That set in the link doesn't actually make it a sniper if that's what you're thinking. It's all about the inner barrel, not the outer. I'm pretty sure it would fit on the A2 since you would have to remove the scope itself from the A1, but if it says "for MARUI" then don't take a chance. Besides, AUG's aren't meant to be pimped out. Less stuff, the better. |

ok, so basically whats the difference between the A1 and A2?
Here is a picture of the A2 i found: http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a78...A-AUG-A2-L.jpg But is it still a A2 if that body was green instead of black? Because I read somewhere only CA AUG A1s had green bodies. Or even in other words, that set would fit on an AUG A1 if there was no built in scope on the AUG A1? |

the rail you have linked will only fit the NON SCOPED A2 version (civillian)
now from what i can gather from what you've asked. An A2 is a non scoped railed version and is referred to as a civilian version An A1 has a built in scope but no rails and is the military version now the body colour does not matter you can have a green civilian version or black and vice versa |

You can clearly see the difference my friend.
One model has the built-in scope, the other has the rails on the top that ALLOWS YOU to put any scope you want. Just because one is green and the other is black - it wont effect your gameplay or the gun itself. It's just a color. And to what you said about the set fitting on an AUG A1 if there was no scope - I'm not entirely sure, but I am guessing that it should fit if it has no scope. But like I said before: It MIGHT not fit on the Classic Army version since it's for Tokyo Marui's. I would not suggest getting the set. Invest in a handgun if you don't have one or pimp out some of your gear. |

Ok, thats all I was asking.
Just one more thing though, what barrels does AUGs take? 509mm or 550mm? That kit says it has a 14 inch outerbarrel, with that thing mounted, what length barrel does it take? |

14 inch outer barrel is pretty long, and no matter what kind of AEG it is. All inner barrels are interchangeable.

14 inch is 355mm. But AUGs come with 540mm barrels?

Civi AUG is the A2, the one with the rail. CA and TM AUGs are almost completely identical.

Sorry Tiker, I got that colour information second hand so I'm sure I've misunderstood. The difference is just the rail and scope.
