Question Stock plastic G&G M4A1 to 400fps?

Okay, I have this G&G M4A1 with a metal body kit and a Madbull 6.03 barrel. The gearbox is stock, and these guns are supposed to be shooting around 330fps with the stock barrel and .20s. Not sure what the fps is with the Madbull barrel. I play mostly outdoor, and the accuracy is only good out to about 20 meters. After that wind has a significant effect on accuracy, and the shots take a while to reach the target.

I would like this gun to be shooting around 400fps or just under with .20g BBs, and without sacrificing too much rate of fire. I would also like to do this in the most cost effective way possible, as I need a cylinder head and air nozzle as it is. What spring should I get, and should I consider replacing anything else in the process? Experienced opinions are appreciated.

Stock gun. G&G Combat Machine M4A1, plastic receiver.

A better hop up will increase your range.

Get better steel gears. The stock gears Will shatter.

he can put a new hopup in the gun and it can still shoot like crap.

@ KBarlow Run a .25 bb heavier weight and more stable in flight.
Adjust your hopup, take it out to the field and just tweet it.
your low fps could be because of a bad airseal with the current nozzle.

Hop-up will affect the range, as you said you have a madbull 6.03, it's very okay , to get a higher FPS you shall change the spring, an M110 will get you about 390 FPS .
If you want a higher ROF, change to a G&P M120 high speed motor, I did it, the buy was dead on!

Not sure what the ROF is right now. With a Tenergy 8.4v 1600mAh mini battery, I was getting 700rpm. I have switched to an Intellect 8.4v 1600mAh high discharge battery, which has increased the ROF substantially. If the ROF will stay above 700rpm with an M110 spring, I'll be happy.

I am using .25s at the moment.

Getting a mini 9.6v battery will improve ROF and trigger response. I mainly use Lipos but will use 9.6v minis if I have to. I will always use a 9.6v mini over an 8.4v battery. Don't ever see the point of using a 8.4 over a 9.6 if space permits.
