Aftermath Broxa?
Is it a good gun? My friends tell me it's a good gun and they own it too.
I'm not a super hardcore airsoft guy I just want to do backyard skirmishes. I don't want to spend over $150 |

Save your money. Than get age verified ....... .and don't and I repeat don't do backyard skirmishes. That is just not good. Fill in your location and info too.
And so what if you're friends tell you it's a good gun, I'm sure you can find 10 youtube videos that say it's good. How bout you also use the search function too. It's very useful in that the question that you ask has been asked on NUMEROUS occasions, on varying guns. Cheers, FACE

Because you run the risk of being shot by the police, and facing criminal charges and the confiscation of your toys. On top of that, and the worst consequence possible, you run the risk of having the sport banned. Thats worse then getting shot.
Check your local, provincial and federal laws before using a replica FIREARM in public.

It's OK but no it's crap. It's like that 1 quid BB pistol thing I bought 2 weeks ago. It was cheap and I had some laughs with it for a few days then it broke and I tossed it in the rubbish bin.
Also most recently there was an incident in California where a 13 year old kid was shot by police. If that can happen to that kid in the US it can happen to you too. There's been multiple incidents with ERT/RCMP armed response being deployed and incidents with SWAT teams deployed in the US. Don't fuck around. Also I think police here are trained to aim for body mass and neutralize any threats rather than attempting to disarm/incapacitate the threat like in the US (someone back me up on this one? or is it I just watch too many movies?).

edit: Inform the cops everytime before you play as well. Backyard airsofting is a bad idea when you live in the city or the suburbs. Out in the boonies it's a different matter.

... don't worry about playing in your back yard if you're in a rural area, as long as you abide by your municiple and federal laws - you will be ok.
If by chance a police officer does come by - treat them with respect, put your safty on, take the magazine out, put the airsoft gun on the ground, step away from it, place your hands in the air, and follow any directions the officer gives you. Do not say anything about it being an airsoft gun, as it may be confused with, "It's just a *** gun!". As for the Broxa, I've seen 3 come in to my area and I think there's one left in operational condition. It's up to you what you want to spend. Parts for repair are available everywhere. IMHO with limited funds and general skirmishes, I'd buy it. |

As long as it's private land, and no one, repeat, NO ONE will see you, it's fine. Also see Disco's post, good information. |
