WE or KJW
I'm just looking for some advice here.
I have decided that my next gun will be a GBBR M4, likely in the way of a CQB-R. What is the general consensus on the WE vs KJW? I find the WE is more realistic, but the KJW will likely have fewer problems OOTB. What is generally sought after as the weapon of choice as far as these 2 guns are concerned?

Personnally owning a KJW, and it's a pleasure to game with it. The only bad point so far are the thermold mags sitting in too tight in the pouches, otherwise I have not encountered disapointments so far.

Giving you 2 cent,
wait for the WE Open Chamber, the M16A1 was just released yesterday See how the review for it goes KJW is a pot metal gun, without any upgrade WE is also a pot metal gun, (for most part) however, you can get upgrade |

which of the two guns do most of the people you play with run? much easier to share/loan mags if it's the same system.

WE's are more common than KJW, so there are more players running with them.

It's not a clear cut, I know in Edmonton, there's more KJW than there's WE M4, however it's about the same in GBBR ## if you compare M4 Mags to KJW M4 Mag user.

Ya, I noticed there is a real lack of upgrade parts for the KJW. There aren't too many GBBR's where I live because they just don't tend to work quite as well due to our northern locale.
If I went with WE I wouldn't mind going with C02 mags, but I have heard that some of their guns have alot of problems running on C02. Is that still a problem or is it something WE has managed to remedy in the newer models?

there is no way to say WE is more realistic than KJW, WE is a good operating platform but when speaking of realistic it's the worst.
Realstic: WA > KJW >WE

So far, I would be the only player running a gas rifle that I am aware of. The only gas rifles that are readily available where I live are KJW so if I went with a WE I would have to order one online.

Last MeetnGreet I've seen folks w/ WE G36C WE M14 WE M16/m4 WE PDW KJW M4 Full metal & Clear WA is the rarest here, I've one before, its awesome when it works, but when stuff breaks it's a headache. KJW works out of box reliably while WE needs pre-treatment |

KJW's HAVE UPGRADE PARTS AVAILABLE
And they're made by laylax Pretty sure Amos has them Between WE open bolt and KJW, I'd say both are pretty reliable, it's a good contest between the two. I can say for sure the open bolt system is the simplest system I've seen yet, but that's speaking for my PDW only. I haven't seen what their M4 open bolt system looks like. However in the PDW is consists of only TWO moving parts, a bolt carrier and a GBB pistol air nozzle. Your pretty good either way, but KJ only has the ugly ass thermold mags. WE has CO2, PDW and regular M4 propane mags. |

RA-Tech makes a full upgrade line for the KJ's, Laylax (Prometheus) is working on a line, and there are SEVERAL after market things in Asia for the Tanio Koba M4 (Same thing)
For an M4 currently on the market, I would take a KJ any day over a WE.. However that may change one the WE open bolts come out. |
