A&K Masada replacement part...

I just got my Masada in, so I opened her up and noticed that none of my mags were feeding properly... so I looked inside, gave the feeder nozzle thingy (the part that goes into the mag to receive the BBs) a little flick, and it came right off. I've got a 450$ paperweight on my hands, don't I? As far as I know this part is proprietary, right? Even the barrel replacements don't have the lower half, afaik.

I've had a look at hop-up unit replacements for it; but I can only seem to find the upper half. correct me if I'm wrong:

(The gun was opened up once prior to change the spring)

Just in case, this isn't my first AEG.

And... pics.

Sorry but yes you do. I suggest contacting A&K airsoft and begging them over and ever to allow you to buy a replacment part. Also contact Evike, even though you will pay alot in shipping they usually can get strange parts. Or look in boneyard sections of airsoft sites to see if there is a Masada to be had.

You could also try JB weld if all else fails.

The PTS Masada has a lot of proprietary parts and if something breaks, you're SOL.

EDIT: Just realized this is an A&K, you can try and mod the feeding tube of a two piece hop up to fit.

Thanks but I clearly stated that it's an A&K Masada. Still true though. EDIT: Just saw your edit: Thanks for that advice, seriously.

Eeyore, I suppose that's my next step. as far as I know this one actually came from Evike, so I'll be sure they get bugged about this.

Right now the plan is to try to fix it with superglue when it gets taken apart to get reshimmed and to have the inner barrel replaced.

Sorry if its kinda late, but the part in question is actually polycarbonate. There are alot of things out there that can bond polycarbonate PERMANENTLY and crazy glue or super glue or any type of cyanoacrylate solution would work wonderously. Just make sure you reinforce it some and let it cure fully before putting pressure on it.

do not use super glue!.. the vapor alone will mess up the surface. use modeling cement (the liquid kind), it will fuse the parts together permanently. just make sure to let it cure over night before messing with it.

modeling cement is cheap and is a must for quick airsoft repairs.

Yeah, we used super-high strength plastic cement to repair it; and it seems good to go (seems visually perfect, and has feed several hundred rounds so far)

I'm still trying to get my hands on the replacement for when that part will fail, because I'm sure it will. I'm talking to the distributor now actually.

If I can't some more mags, I'll definitely be using this next game

Wait two years get age verified then buy one. Asking more often isn't going to change the answer.

Alternatively use the word "boss" liberally in your google searches.

I've sent a message to evike, A&K and Cybergun. So far no one even replied back to me. Hope I can fix your masada soon.

BTW I'm his gun doc.

I talked to Milsig where I got my Masada, they said you have to deal directly with Cybergun. The problem I have is my clear plastic hop up is cracked along the tube. I don't think I'll RMA the whole gun just for something I can just get a part for, besides I want to upgrade to metal nozzle and hop up anyway, good luck.

I advise against this. The metal hop up that you can buy is not complete, you still need to use some of the clear plastic parts, plus the fitment is off. It would be much better if you could secure a new original part.

Go here http://www.wiitech.com.hk/eshop/index.php?cPath=69

You can find amazing upgraded parts for the A&K and Magpul Masada. All machined Aluminum. Just make sure you use the $ conversion tool on the top right of the window.

You will have to create an account to use the site, but this only takes a day or two to set everything up.

Good luck!
