M4A1, KJW or VFC??? wich one is better??

I am looking to own a M4 for target shooting, I am looking for both those models: VFC M4A1 Full Metal GBB Rifle & KJW M4A1, or others

Wich one shoot better and got a better kickback?? this is hard to tell on youtube, they look the same. Wich one is most realistic and more powerfull?

thanks for your help!

Hi there.

Basically, VFC runs on the WA/Prime system. This is the system of GBBR M4 used by much of the market, including G&P, KA, WA, Bomber, AGM, JG and many others.

KJW runs on its own proprietary system.

Pros of WA system
-Availability of parts and mags
-Multiple brands of parts and mags
-realism in operation

cons of WA
-System seems to be unreliable
-Almost all mags are expensive and many seem to have issues with leaking
-Considered to be the most expensive and least reliable GBBR system
-Suffers badly from the "cool-down" effect. Especially in the cold. (Thanks to Ballcancer for pointing this out)

Pros of KJW
-Said to be the most reliable system
-Uses AEG type front sets and stocks, giving you lots of options for inexpensive customization
-Very little "cool-down" effect.

cons of KJW
-Very little after market support (so far)
-The only mags that work right now are KJW "Thermold" mags (so far). Personally I really don't like the look of these.
-Is said to have the least recoil of any of the major GBBR systems

If you are open to alternatives, consider a WE M4?

Right, forgot to add that. The WA system doesn't do well in the cold.

What is WE, another System or Brand??

I will use it indoor, so I do not consider the Cold temperature in the choice.

Power, Kickback (recoil), realistic feel, accuracy and reliablility, it is possible to have all those characteristic in one M4?

First of all Recoil and Reliability don't go in hand
Power isn't hard to achieve, w/ 360mm inner barrel
Magna System can clocks around 450fps, KJ 500fps, WE (depending on model) 550fps.

I wouldn't pick the WE brass tube system, simple on auto it sounds pretty sluggish with low rof.

VFC's are usually great AEGs, but their GBBR M4 is crap.

It's based on the WA/Magna system, BUT has different tolerances... In other words, it's got all the drawbacks of the WAs but none of the aftermarket support that makes a WA a good choice.
And on top of that, the way their bolt catch is designed makes it fail after only a few mags.

So... VFC shouldn't even be an option. The KJW is reliable although the kick is amongst the lowest in GBBRs.

FYI KJWs are currently only available with Thermold mags, BUT USGI mags (the "standard" M4 mags) will be coming out before the summer.

Sorry to hijack, but since it's been mentioned, anyone care to give info/impressions about the WE's M4A1 (Gen 4)?

I guess you're right, seen one sold as Gen 4, I guess it's an error then.
I'm not very knowledgeable yet.

Thing is I'm looking "everywhere" for specs and reviews and I don't find much... So any input will be appreciated. thanks!

Check out other forums like gasguns.info and arniesairsoft...lots of people are partial to the WE system on this site but the KJW and WA are more popular elsewhere. If your all about total realism go with the WA but I hope you have deep pockets as you'll be replacing lots of expensive parts.

I have owned a WE M4 (gen 3) now for the last year and can safely say that I would highly recommend this rifle. It has been solid, reliable and dependable. I have only had one issue (charging handle wouldn't move) and when I contacted the retailer i bought it from ( Imperial Airsoft in Calgary), they contacted WE for me and they sent me a totally new bolt assembly free of charge. Problem solved. Very happy customer.

Parts are much easier to get now and there are plenty of upgrade options, should you choose. As far as realism goes, I rate it as awesome, it has lots of recoil and a really tight "snappy" feel. It has a good stock hop-up, although I upgraded mine and the accuracy is great. Mag cooling is always an issue with every GBBR I have ever owned and the WE M4 is no different. Hope that helps.

Thanks buddy, it's appreciated.
I've just posted a thread (ASC Thread) concerning GBBR, asking for adivce from the community. You might want to check it out if you want to throw some more info I don't want this thread to deviate too much from its purpose.

Thanks, sorry for the Hijack!
