TM MP5 15A Fuse *RESOLVED*

I have an older TM MP5 with a EG560 Motor.. yes a very high speed FAMAS motor.. I've recently replaced the gears with a high speed set and a new piston because the old stock ones had striped. Maybe 500 rounds after the fuse blew.. so I've been looking for a replacement pack.. but..

WHERE THE HECK CAN I FIND a 15A Fuse to replace mine? :banghead:

I've been looking many places and most places only sell the whole wiring assembly with a fuse.. but no fuses seperatly.

My fuse is a 15A.. but there is NO indication of ANY Voltage.

It's a glass fuse; near the ends, the metal is wider and in the center the metal is slim.. looks like this:

Yeah, I went to Can Tire, but I just didn't know if I could use any voltage... I didn't take a chance. Anyone can clear this up for me?

Those fuses are generally rated for 32V, 125V or 250V, so anything you get will work in your AEG, as long as it fits in the contact holder and is of a decent rating. You can use a 20A fuse if that's all you can find, without any worries. And yes, CT is the place to go for those, usually they are classed as 3G fuse types I recall.

Ok.. wow.. well is there any general rule about rules about fuses for Airsoft? So, you're saying Voltage doesn't matter?

Nope, voltage doesn't matter, as long as you don't excede the rating. But for AEGs, 32V will work fine because that is the MAX voltage you can push through it. So grab whatever you find and stuff it in, it'll work.

Case in point, what is written on fuses is the maximum rating for both voltage and current. Keep both below the rating and it'll last forever.

Thanks alot for that info, it's much appreciated. It pretty much cleared away all my fears about getting fuses.
