ICS M4 AEG DownGrade Help - two piece gear box
I have an issue with my ICS M4 AEG - two piece gear box.
It currently shoots 355-365 fps (Stock + semi-auto) and I'd prefer to get it down to something just below 350 FPS if possible without having to experiment with so many springs to get the correct FPS. Sure one or two would be good, just trying to avoid spending anything on this gun. If any of you know what kinda of springs would bring it down please shoot me a link. (Canada Retail stores preferred)

On e hobby asia, they have M.A.G. kits of 5 springs... not the best springs but will allow you to dial in to what is the closest to what you want
Cheap to! And be greatfull you got an ICS... that whole exercice can be time consuming on non split gear box aeg! Cheers ps If it's a brand new gun just fire a couple of bags... it should set @ around 350 Quote:

Yeah it's a new gun. Totally got ripped off for it, but that's expected from a retail store. So if I just fire it off X number of times the performance will degrade to 350?

Sometimes springs settle a bit.

Open up the upper mechbox, turn the spring around and put it back together. Should bring it down enough, as long as its not a linear spring.

Ok just thought I'd finish up a solution for those who search this thread:
-Springs were linear so I couldn't use the turn method wrath had mentioned -Ran a few thousand rounds though the machine (2-3 FPS drop) -Didn't hit the cock release over night (leaves the spring in full tension [0-0.5 FPS drop]) -Took a hacksaw and chopped off about 1.5cm to 2cm from the spring (10-15 FPS drop) now the gun averages out at 340-345 FPS. Random spikes and drops (1/10 shots) 335 FPS to 350 FPS (on the dot) Now I've got a gun ready for 350 FPS below games in Toronto =)

U could have had a a 10-15 fps drop by just removing the bearings in the piston head and spring guide, assuming that it came with bearings.
