G36
It's still far off but I've become interested in the the G36. I'm thinking about putting a scope and silencer on it, what brand would be the best?
http://torontoairsoft.com/category.php?id_category=63 Would this one be alright? Or should I go for another company? |

That would be alright, it's a JG.
But if you're 18+, get age verified and browse the new and used guns on this forums's Classifieds section. It opens up a WHOLE new world of guns. |

JG is a shorthand term for a brand of airsoft produced in China known as JingGong.
They were previously a lower end company but have made significant strides over the years to enhance their quality control. These days a vast majority of people consider JG to be a mid level product.

Most likely for now upgrading your gun wouldn't be very necessary, I have seen people with JG's use them (stock parts and all) without any worries. With that said, it may be unnecessary to even upgrade your gun till it breaks.
Now however if you still feel the need to upgrade the spring (Nothing wrong with that) keep in mind you may need other new parts like a cylinder, or motor. You can read about it in the FAQs and Upgrades/Modifications thread. *What I do recommend though is that if you do upgrade the gun, GET A GUN DOCTOR to do it for you! A list of them can be found on the top section in the Forum's Doctor's Corner Thread. BTW for the silencer, you may need a silencer adaptor due to the length of the gun's threading being too short, to the gun's handguard. Now I am not 100% about this so I'd look into that as well. If you're going into that range, I'd personally go Classic Army. The internals are pretty close to par with TM and the Classic Army has a MUCH better body than most other G36's out there. I've had mine for years now and it's still going strong.

Well, my G36 cost me $600... but that was years ago. You should BNIB one from the ASC classifieds for 450-500-ish, maybe less.

If you are under 18, why do you want a gun that you would probably not being able to use anyways.
that, without mentioning that most places require you to be 18 at least, to buy a gun. Im not trynig to be jerck, im just saying that making sure that you can play being under aged is the smart thing to do.

There is also the the KWA G36c, which probably has one of the best stock ver 3 gearboxes available.

Except for their tendency to blow stock cylinder heads, I would agree.
