There are plenty of knockoff (read: not military issue) CADPAT uniforms out there. Frontena, Parklands, and CP Gear come to mind first.

MY EYES!!! DEAR LORD MY EYES!!!!!!!!!!

Every once and awhile I find a post so horrid in spelling and grammar that I determine it worthy to send to my wife and go, "SEE! There are people out there that have worse grammar and spelling then me!!!" Then she goes and asks if I made up the post, at which point I have to give her the direct link so she can see for herself.

ok, now that I have mocked you.

Impersonating and impression are two different things. Most players running cadpat are going for an "impression". Anyone stupid enough to impersonate a member of the CF should bend over in the shower at Kingston Pen.

There are plenty of non issue cadpat gear out there that is perfectly legal to wear...go look at CPgear.com

They don't ship though. You have to go get it in person and last I checked they were only distributing out of St Jean QC.

The Forces started shedding surplussed uniforms years ago, though, for a time, they were available across Canada. Now, the only "issued" Cadpat uniforms you'll find are probably old Gen one stuff (exposed buttons are a give away) or stolen ones. If you get/buy/"aquire" stolen ones, you'll wake up with Rita Macneil sitting on your face demanding oral sex for a month.

The Newer Parklands/Frontnac Cadpat uniforms are made from the same fabric as the issued ones, but cut in a different pattern, similar to the old OD uniforms. The material has been rejected by the Forces as suitable for use for whatever number of reasons. The older Parklands ones are white on the inside (replica pattern) and are to be avoided like the plague as they fade like a mofo, hell, they fade just looking at them. CPGear sell these.

There's also several ACM (All China Made) "Cadpat" uniforms available on Ebay or from some of the online dealers in Asia that are a heavier material, but the colors are very close the the real deal. Plus they're cut in the US ACU pattern.

Alternately, Dropzone Tactical in Edmonton Alberta makes some kickass Cadpat uniforms, called the "OPs Set". Vey pricey, but very nice.

If I were you. I would not wear any of the issued stuff.

Go buy a set of the CP Gear ones, and you'll be just as happy.

High rank does not make "him" any less of a thief or you any less guilty of possession of stolen property. Issue Cadpat, that has not been properly surplussed, is for troops use only. They're short sheeted on enough shit because of ass clowns stealing shit they need for deployment.
