AVing Rules
Just a quick question here as I am sort of unsure about the rule.
Is it legal so buy a gun from the Classifieds (after being AV'd) and then later sell it to a friend that is at least 18 years of age? I'm just asking because if I ever decide to get a new gun I wanna know if I can sell it to a friend who is interested in getting into the sport. Thanks in advance. |

technically you could buy a gun and sell it to a 2 year old. Just remember that you may be liable for his actions :P |

Ok, so would it be against ASC's rules to do that? Or would he have to get AV'd first?

It would be frowned upon. But an admin won't come to your house and spank you. If the deal doesn't pass through ASC than it has nothing to do with ASC.
edit: if I sell one of my guns privately to one of our 17 year old players and asc had a problem with that... well its really none of there concern. They arn't a governing body of any sort. NOW if I posted it online, and someone contacted me via ASC that was not aved and then sold it to them... well that would be against the rules. Last edited by Dart; October 1st, 2010 at 10:34.. |

At the same time, if it is found out that you are using your AV to purchase guns from ASC for someone under 18, your AV could be pulled. ASC has that right.

AV is meant for personal usage. If your 18 year old friend wants to buy guns, then tell him to get AV'd too, its really not that difficult.
buying for others is essentially sharing an account, which is abuse of the Age Verification system. |

Ok, I understand that. But what If i've used a gun for a couple of years and I wanna then sell it. Is it ok to sell it to someone who isnt AV'd? That would mean that I am not using my AV to buy guns for Non-AV'd people or anything like that.

* Age Verifier status suspended *

The official standing for ASC for AV Status is that the AV is for YOUR purpose only. If you are caught using your AV status to supply guns to Minors, your AV Status will be Revoked. No ifs, ands or buts.
There is no repercussions if found that you are selling to non AV'ed members who are over 18.

Age Verification permits access to the Classifieds and Age Verified areas on ASC. That's it. It has no legal bearing nor any bearing off ASC.
While it's preferred you sell to someone over 18 (and it may be legally required depending on where you live), in the end it's up to you who you deal with outside of ASC.

Basically don't use your account as a proxy for minors to purchase guns and you're fine.
ie. My brother isn't AV'ed yet (to the best of my knowledge) if he asked me to get something for him then I could buy something for him and give it to him. After that, if we go to a game together and he gets AV'ed then that's fine (Note, I'm not account sharing, rather I'm buying a gun then when it gets to my doorstep he is buying it from me). However if my brother was under 18 that would be against the rules since my account would be a proxy to selling to minors. Also the above was a hypothetical situation (AFAIK my brother is attempting to get AV'ed sometime). What happens outside the classifieds is of no concern to the staff except if your account is being used as a proxy to supply minors with guns (like some mom tried to do last spring).

Yes.
Also, please insure you have a large quantity of beer stocked in the fridge. Import preferred. It is also recommend that you have a full physical by a doctor to ensure that you are in sufficient health. Your rear end will have things done to it that dont even happen in jail.
