Kart M14 JAE and Cyma M14 Socom cm032a
Hi, I just bought a "graveyard" Kart and a new m14 socom, and I'm wondering how interchangeable the parts will be? I've heard there are some problems with possibly the motor and the JAE along with barrel sizing problems, but will the rest of the parts be interchangeable?
If I want to use this as my project "guide", what will I need aside from a can of od krylon and somehow find/make short m14 mags? |

By memory I think KART and CYMA don't have the same dimensions nor the same bolt system (big ass weight on KART), making them incompatible.

I think it's RS, maybe that's why :P.
The only short mags (like that) that I've found so far are custom >< |

Oh, I also did buy the cyma m14 socom, so I can play around with both. I'm hoping the Kart one isn't that far broken, and maybe just needs a new piston or something.

You'll be able to make those short M14 magazines by simply taking a TM lowcap mag apart, cutting the right amount of material out of the middle of the innards, reassembling then trimming the shell. I've done the same thing w/ a TM AK47 magazine and it's very simple to do, should take you all of half an hour.

Okay, thanks guys.
I searched the forums again, didn't find any new threads that I hadn't already read yet :P. Supposedly the kart is tm compatible, but I guess just not as good as the cyma version. I'm not sure yet whether I want to combine them into one gun, or upgrade them both eventually... |

personally... I'd put the cyma guts into the Jae-100 stock as a sniper/marksman platform... (or even start from "scratch" as most of us with the jae100 have)
and then put the kart guts into the cyma body and run it as a battle rifle so far I love my jae100 even bone stock I get comments on how it shoots. I really like the looks of those short mags too.... another thing to add to my list! lol

I kinda wanted the short barrel, and the only one they had, was in the boneyard and was the long version. Would I be able to swap the outer barrels?

Some stuff I want to eventually add are a precocking mosfet and possibly triple burst capability and maybe a white laser :P

is that one in the video out yet?.. I was all set to buy a trigger master (semi locked) ... but that precocking with no sensors and stuff looks promising

I've just started this "project" lol. I've known about it, but never felt that I should, but since I'm starting a sr/dmr, no delay will be helpful. I'm not sure, but the one with the hall effect thing looks interesting. Those were the first couple hits on google, and they aren't even that recent...
