ICS split gearbox VS full size gearbox
Hey there ASC!
Just another simple question/debate about the two different types of gearbox. Is ICS's split gearbox a disadvantage to a full size/complete gearbox? Background story to my question. I had someone asking me the same question because my gun out preformed his and he toss way more money into internal upgrade than I did. Thanks. |

Performance-wise they should be the same. The split mechbox uses the same internal components and as long as air seal/hopup parts are comparable the performance is the same. The split mechbox just allows for WAY easier spring changes.

There's so many variables when it comes to building a gearbox...
I personally won't use the ICS system because the high end upgrade market is designed after the Marui system. |

But isn't almost all internal are tm compatable?
Wouldn't the split gearbox create more movement inside the gun thus reduce accuracy? |

It's not like they're just floating around in there. Besides, the only part that matters is the cylinder (upper mechbox) and barrel connection (compression, etc) |
