Joining a sponsored team and need M4 help.
I am joining a sponsored team and havent really ever bought a real airsoft gun before (plastic old walmart style is what I used to use). I love m4s and really want a fully customizable m4. Specs that are needed can be seen below.
-Any company but it has to be a M4A1 replica (price is not a problem but company needs to be popular and reliable) ~Full metal ~Needs to have a customizable hand guard that can be removed for a RIS. ~Interchangable stock system ~Iron sights can be removed to reveal top rail |

Make that a third for a PTW.
Other options could be G&P or Classic Army.

I call bullshit on you sir!
No way someone is going to sponsor a complete newbie to airsoft, If your joining a team that already has a sponsor, they wouldn't let you join they want the best they can get, someone who will bring a lot to the team, not a guy who doesn't even know what M4's are "gud". If this is like for special olympics airsoft and you actually are joining a sponsored team, your their friend, you'd have friends that already know plenty about airsoft, in the time between your first post and you most recent one you should have learned ALOT from them and would know what m4 is the best out there (PTW) If you actually have a sponsor (which you don't) they're your SPONSOR! a sponsor buy's you shit thats what they're their for, they'd equip you, you wouldn't need a budget. All your specs are external, aesthetic. if you were of quality to actually BE sponsored you'd be asking for things like FPS, ROF, range, internal and hopup quality, mofset's and trigger responce bullshit

oy, PTWs are gonna be out of the question with a budget like that. Is that just for your gun or is that your total budget after ninjafying it? You can get a Classic Army prices on your upper budget scale, they're very solid and reliable.

I live in the united states mind you all and I signed up on this website because every site I went on the people kept preposesing too high of prices. I live in a small state in the united states. I will be joining my friends team who is sponsored by a airsoft store that is mainly known in my state so really I am just here to get advice and get the best thing for my money.
Edit: and if you rather not have a american post here then Ill take my business somewhere else where I can get a straight answer to help me get the best equipment. Last edited by JoyRiderUSA; August 20th, 2010 at 01:51.. |

There are plenty of Americans on this forum as well as users from Japan, HK, The Philippines, The UK, Spain, Italy, even some of the Eastern Bloc countries. This forum pretty much doesn't stand for most of the bullshit that slides at Airsoft Forum so if you like it there then I'm going to say straight up this probably isn't the forum for you. If you don't like it at Airsoft Retreat or Arnies then this forum is also probably not for you.
And yeah... the PTW is the best out there, couple that with the "tackleberry mod" that I've been hearing about and you've got a gun that can kick some serious ass. Seriously, if you're sponsored by a shop then let them outfit you and get advice/suggestions from your teammates. If you're inexperienced and are coming in as a friend or whatever you're saying then let them mentor you. Right now you're pretty set for a G&P or a CA AR-15 derivative, and they make plenty so you have a lot to choose from. Also internally don't aim to hit the field limits FPS wise or get as close to them as possible. There are players in the "300 club" (Stock TM guns run at 1J or 329 FPS on .20's or 295 on .25's) that run their guns pretty much bone stock and still kick ass. I'd say aim for 360-380 as thats what I've found to be the sweet spot. Don't forget to UPGRADE THE PLAYER NOT THE GUN either. It's a much better return on investment (just need to invest time to practise and get better) compared to totally rebuilding a gearbox from scratch ,especially being inexperienced and possibly fucking things up and breaking expensive aftermarket parts. If you're an engineer then you have a slightly better chance and might at least understand how things work and not break things as badly or screw up in the reassembly. And just a little humour; The engineer says: "If it isn't broken, it doesn't have enough features yet". or "If it isn't broken, take it apart and fix it."
