Dytac Aimpoint Micro T-1 mount issue

I recently bought a Dytac micro T-1 with the SOCOM QD mount, and when I went to mount it on my gun, I found that the mount was perfect size for the rail. However even with the QD released the mount wouldnt fit onto the rail because the mount opening was too small.
i was wondering if this was a design flaw or if it was made for a different type of rail. and how i could possibly fix the problem

what brand of gun was the one you use? It could be due to the rail is not a 1913 pictinny rail. China brands are known for being off spec due to molding.

undo the QD mount then push it inward (spring loaded ) to expose the screw head on the opposite side.

Loosen it with a medium sized flat head screw driver until it fits appropriately.
