Just a quick question regarding Flag Raider's Games.

Hey, I'm back.
I just wanted to ask a question regarding games at Flag Raiders,
I'm 14, and I'm wondering if, I sign a waiver and have a parent/guardian on site, would I be able to play FR Games? It still might take me 1-2 years to save up for my airsoft supplies, so I may be 15-17 by the time I'm fully able to play.
Thanks!

Most games here, depending on the host, will allow you to play if you're 16 AND a parent is playing as well. This isn't like paintball. *shiver* Ask the host though.

I am not familiar with airsoft.

What my question is, does the element of surprise work on a typical airsoft match?

So it depends on the host? Because I've seen a couple of games going on in Kitchener (Where I live) that look interesting. (eg.c3sk's Zombie Game)
But all games in the Kitchener area are 18+

Usually it will be strictly 18+.

Sorry to say bud, but you will have a very, very, very hard time finding a host/feild that will let you play. Like a few have said before, its strict, and its mostly final. Its best just to wait even though it sucks like hell.

I was in the same boat. I played my cards right when I was underage, waited, and was able to get treated to things a bit early. Just take your time. Enjoy other things while you're still young, airsoft is just another hobby that you might brush off before you know it.

Yup, what they said. I just got AV'd in the last couple weeks. I suggest reading up as much as you can about the rules, guns (especially internals) and all that good stuff. And maybe you'll be lucky and in 4 years time the prices will drop some. I know they have in the last couple years.

Again, it seems like theres a few minors who are great around the boards.

At 14 it's quite tough but it can be done occasionally. Don't bet on it though, usually it's the areas such as Alberta and Saskatchewan where kids younger than 16 are sometimes allowed to play. With Ontario (a generally firearm "unfriendly" province in built up/urban areas) it will be 16+ usually if minors are allowed to play.

My advice, if you get the urge now it can't hurt to ask but don't be expecting a yes, rather try and get your name out and introduce yourself so you get your foot in the door then if they allow you come back at 16 and you'll have a bit of a head start.

Also don't forget to keep reading the boards and study hard in school. For me school always came first and look at me now, I'm doing pretty good for myself, a student going into 3rd year and I've been selected for an international exchange. Life is pretty good for me and I still get time to airsoft (although lately I've become a "chairsofter" because I have a lot of work to do especially since I'll be living abroad for a year and need money to live and not leech off my host countries' social welfare system).

Flag Raiders does allow minor's if the host agrees with it and your parent/guardian is playing with you.
