I'm not certain about Brownells, but I am still waiting on a reply from BotachTactical. I had sent an inquiry to them earlier this morning regarding shipping a CTR as well as some other components up here.

Brownells DOES ship to Canada. And they know the rules inside out on their side of the border, they have corrected my orders when issues came up and quoted & linked all of the relevant law and procedures.

Nice...I'll keep that in mind if I'm in need of parts I might be iffy about with the ITAR

Don't think you will be able to import ANY Magpul related stuff from the US.

www.fabsports.ca This is IN Country.
They Carry Magpul. I know they have the MOE stock with Commercial buffer tube sizing. They don't have the CTR though and IMHO you don't need the locking mech, I have a MOE in Milspec and it does not move at all. Just a thought.

US guys are going more and more paranoid every single day, last time I went to the US on vacation (NYC) I had a Dubaï stamp on my passport (which is French) the guy asked any possible questions for an entire hour... I almost lost it.
But thanks for Fabsports link, I was getting desperate to find some Magpul for my GBBR... and a freaking wrench for the buffer ring. Why the hell do the americans restrict even that ?!? PS : Yourself, I love the costa pedobear ^^ EDIT : Do you guys know where I could find an MK12 SPR kit ? I'm looking for the round type handgard, the grip I can find it but not the rest...

Why Commercial stock? I am using Mil-Spec size for my WOC....
Also, doesn't PTS have differences between AEG and GBBR? Did you use the right one? Most RS Magpul stuff is ITAR due to the plastic they use being formulated specifically for military, which determines its status. If you have specific licenses you can export it. But I think most retailer won't(or just plainly no bothering to do so). PTS stuff being made in China and use a commercial grade plastic gets around that even if the design is the same. |

I have to find an email but Brownells quoted it. Basically the rule is if it costs <100 dollars at the wholesale level and it's "on the list". It can still be sold/shipped into Canada. UNLESS it's a shotgun part which falls under a completely different set of rules, laws and department.
Recently tried ordering one of these: http://www.ergogrips.net/item-detail...e=surestop.gif And that could not be shipped by brownells All my other magpul stuff came in the mail just fine and included a nice piece of paper explaining to any potential american inspectors that the items where registered for export. |

That means that Brownell has the license to export something with a certain value, which is how ITAR works anyway. Not all retailers can do the same thing since they all need to apply for such a license through US's State Department and pay a fee for the license. And for smaller shop or retailer they might not bother since the business volume does not warrant it....
