Was planning on it. So the air nozzle is a M14 one or a EBR one? Thanks.

EDIT- I heard the outer barrel is to small in diameter to fit another barrel in because the stock barrel is very thin. Is this true?

i dont know about the socom jae 100 but my jae 100 the barrel was to thin to install most tight bore barrels and you will find the outer barrel normally has a bit of a bend in it and it is a standard tm m14 air nozzle there is no difference between EBR and m14 i would recommend changing the outer barrel and i have one for sale if needed. i've replace all the parts on my jae 100 with g&p reciever and g&p 7mm gearbox and the rest is tm parts

just tested it... standard (aka stock TM) inner barrel fit just fine.. there was a hair of a tight spot in the middle.. but it fit well and I know the inner barrel isn't wobbling

however.. mine looks to have been tested by the original overseas retailer and some parts were replaced .. mine came "stock" with a TM magwell, and scope mount.. it's possible the outter barrel was replaced too.. but it's still got clock wise threads

still awaiting my upgrade parts the TM adjuster wheel in the magwell BARELY contacts the kart hop unit

so .. there maybe differences between the reg jae and the socom... I was getting 200ft (within 15ft) hits with .28's just falling off @ "max" hop .. and mine is "stock" so I was pleasantly suprised

Wow, good stuff. Well maybe kart has stepped up their game with this model. I think this gun would be a perfect DMR platform. BUT, its difficult to take appart. Good to hear that you like it, please keep me updated. Also can you fit a 9.6v large in the stock?

the 9.6 can be fitted.. but you have to break/remove the little thin plastic wall in the battery housing. I haven't bothered, I run a 9.6 2800 mini at the moment, but I also run semi only (going full "sniper" build) .. when the build is complete I'll be on an 11.1 lipo and a trigger master (semi only locked) around 440 fps

I'll definately let you guys know when my Prom 6.03 arrives. it wouldn't suprise me if only the socom allows this fit... Kart seems to do some weird crap, my outter wasn't bent, other then some standard production casting oddities it was lovely beside my straight edge. it shoots better then other JAE reviews I've seen, but I'm still not sure what was replaced by the original HK retailer in their testing ... for all I know the hop up unit was replaced with a TM when they replaced the magwell... which seems unlikely though as the adjustment screw has to be only 3 or so threads from total bottom out before it starts to engage the hop.

Hum, I had a JAE, actually I think I was the first back in France and I didn't had to change anything, the gun internals are rock solid, delivering 400 fps in average and once the hop up unit was adjusted I had a gorgeous 70 meters range. Needless to say a lot of jaws dropped... including mine.

The only part I didn't like was the lack of sling points and you can't put a RAS because the body goes higher on the sides than a normal one. Top rail only still works.

i built custom sling mounts like the ones they have for the real steel i have a welder at home so i welded sling mounts onto the nuts of the bolts that hole the stock together works great an yeah my outer barrel had a decent bend to it but mine shoot 400 out of the box but i replaced everything right away didn't really give it a chance to see how it worked, my magwell was dented tho only certian m14 mags would work because of it replace with G&P reciever

I used Deepfire 70 rounds mags, never had a single problem/misfeed.
