AI tornado grenade help
hey so i bought two ai timed grenades from a member on the boards. i tested them and for some reason barely any bbs shoot out, mabey like 5-10. this happens to both of them so i might be doing something wrong. i fill it with propane until like the propane is shooting out like its full. so im wondering if anyone could help me out. thanks.

1. What kind of BB's
2. Do you have a full (or at least not nearly empty) propane tank 3. Do you have the bottom safety cap screwed on correctly |

You want a good shot of liquid propane into it.. make certain they are well lubed up.

the instructions also recommend you wait 5 minutes before you use it. so don't fill it than run outside to try it. The nade will still be cold from the filling process. Make sure the seal on the bottom cap is good, you may just want to order another one from AI, they are only 3 buxs. And be it that its screwed on and off every time you use the nade it might just be worn down.
The other thing you can check is make sure the shuttle is sealing properly as well as the gas might just be leaking around instead. AI has instructions on the website how to do all this and parts available to replace anything. The max FPS is around 120fps on these with .20BB's I would not use anything heavier than that for 2 reasons, cost and .25 and .28 will not fly very well. I use a mixture of .2 .12 and some .25's I spilt lol *the nades arn't picky about about clean ammo *.... just don't put sand and sticks in. |

You absolutely need those big black screw in covers that go onto the bottom of the grenade....they are the "safety" and without them all the propane will escape out the bottom and not push the BBs at all.
You must let the grenade "warm up"...best to let it return to room temp after firing before filling...and then after filling before using. Lube 'em up. Can't say 100%...but I don't think that it's possible to use too much lube. 2-3 drops on the main cylinder...work the piston back and forth...oil in the gas....a drop of oil on the fill valve before you fill it. If BBs are getting "stuck" in the channels (i.e. one side blows out completely and there's still BBs stuck in the other side)...consider taking the shell off (6 or 8 little screws hold the plastic shell onto the metal innards)...clean out the BB channel and reassemble. Lots of dirt and broken BBs will eventually trap a BB in them. Good luck....buy more, it sucks to wait for them to warm up. |

Yah you need to lube every 2 uses. Use the AI nade oil I have tried other silicone oils and it messes with the timing.
