Barrel Wobble

Im looking at getting either the G&G M4 carbine or the G&G M16A3 from CAS. I prefer the look and length of the m16 but im worried because i hear about lots of problems with barrel wobble. Would there be a way to fix the barrel wobble on the m16 or would I be better off getting the m4?

Barrel wobble is not so much prevalent today as it was in the past. Most newer model armalite based airsoft guns do not suffer as severely as older models due to the fact that sturdier materials are now used and some companies are now including one piece outer barrels in their out of the box airsoft guns.

The best thing you can do when you purchase an armalite based gun is to make sure everything on the front end is nice and tight. Since the M16 you are looking at is longer than a standard M4 there would be more weight in the front end and that could gradually loosen things up.

If you want a sturdy front end then I recommend either purchasing an armalite based gun with a full metal receiver or upgrading your existing purchase with a full metal receiver and one piece outer barrel.

No. TM style barrels are three-piece. Good outer barrels are one-piece.

Yes that's a one piece metal barrel, although it's adjustable so it might not be as solid as true one piece barrels. And that an intermediate length. M4's are usually 14.5" and M16's are usually 20", whereas that is 16".

The barrel is pressed into the upper receiver by the delta ring

i think you're looking at it the wrong direction, the threaded end is where the flash hider goes, hte flanged end goes into the reciever

That IS the outer barrel. The silencer screws onto it.
