New Player - Start-up Kit (Help Needed)

Hello everyone. I'm new to Airsoft and I'm looking to compile the basic start-up kit.

What I need:

-Boots
-Goggles
-MARPAT Pants
-Gloves

If you guys could help me out of where good places or specific links to the items that would be awesome. I've been looking around but my main problems are for like Goggles how do I know if there Paintball approved.

Also note I'd like to stay by the Inexpensive - Medium range for prices.

(Yes I am getting age verified just did that today so it won't show up until it's gone though.)

Army issue www.armyissue.com Not only does he sell pants but everthing else you need. located in Missisauga. state your budget man and we can help you out. If you want goggles that are paintball approved get Jt Proflex masks they're awsome and non-expensive.

I don't want an actual mask I want the goggles. I don't really have a budget, but I wanna stay on the medium-low range of prices just for my start-up kit.

Jeff is an amazing guy.

You'll need:
Goggles
Gun + mags. You can use the hicap that comes with said gun for your first time, most guns come with a hicap anyways.
Or see about borrowing mags from somebody at your game.
Ammo. - I recommend BB Bastard .25 at least for out door.
Boots. - I've seen guys slip and slide all over the place in running shoes, you also do not want to damage your ankles.

Strongly suggested:
Box of midcaps or lowcaps. Sometime guns come with shitty hicaps, in general hicaps suck.
Camo. You don't really need it, but man it helps.
Battery and or gas for your gun.
AEGS usually come with an "okay" battery out of the box, It's usually hit or miss though.

As for the goggles. Some fields require Paintball goggles due to insurance, usually you can remove the mask part and just use the goggles thankfully.

Have fun!

once again medium low is pretty vague, jt proflex mask has a removeable face guard so you can only rock the goggles, keep in mind that your eyes are priceless. good eye wear is key.

I've bought BDUs,Drop Leg Holsters, Slings, and Goggles, and i have not been disappointed yet. Their shipping may look high but it's because it's in HongKong. This site has one of the best varieties of BDUs I've ever seen. and i love the goggles i got from them i think it was 21 bucks and it's the best one i've ever seen. it came with a pouch, lens cover and 2 additional lenses so i had Clear,Black, and Yellow

Gloves from Home Depot or whatever ("Watson gloves" are pretty good, I have some thin-ish biking/yardwork gloves from them, bought for $12 and use from everything from biking, yardwork, camping and airsoft). Boots, any outdoor store will carry them however for military boots it'll be a premium that you're going to pay.

Personally I have a pair of hiking boots bought from Coast Mountain Sports/Sport Chek, got them $100+tax on sale, they were like $150 retail (clearance sale).

However once these wear out (on it's last legs however may last one more season, I've had them for about 5 1/2 years now) I'm planning on buying a pair of nice military boots. I've been looking around at things like 5.11 and those "Adidas Tac boots" and such so if you find any good deals shoot me a PM. Looking for quality at a good price so if they're $300 quality boots (not just buying for namebrand) for $250 or something I'll jump for that. I'll be using them for more than airsoft so quality is paramount.

Goggles, JT Pro Flex or Spectra I believe works well. I know there is one model that you can remove bits and pieces (ie. somewhat modular) and can remove the goggle part entirely to wear just that but the name escapes me...

Otherwise there's also the "Save Phace" masks which are super low profile but doesn't meet the requirements of a removable goggle part.

Pants.... Why go to the person who sells them of course (Army Issue, Port Credit, bit of a drive but not as bad as to Toronto at least)

EDIT: Also if you're not afraid from ordering online tehmedic suggested a great site. I personally have dealt with airsoftpark.com and I must say for a drop shipper excellent service and much more than what you'd expect from a retailer who dropships products. Reply given to me I think in like 48 or 72 hours (I guess you can give them 1 day off because it's Sunday, so I guess like 1-2 business days to reply to messages about questions about the product).

My eyes light up whenever I see 5.11. I wear a pair of 5.11 A.T.A.C. STORM boots on the job and they're absolutely amazing. Extremely durable, comfortable even after two 8 hour shifts, and the traction they provide on slippery surfaces is quite incredible.

Got my boots surplus from Army Issue in Mississauga, they're CF Desert boots, bought them in 2008 and I still wear them to this day, best $30 I ever spent in airsoft.

Nothing like going into a store and checking stuff out before you buy, I remember buying a bunch of stuff that first time; boots, shemagh, bb's, etc.

would have spent more but I went broke in there

for gloves, go to Canadian Tire and grab a pair of Mechanix brand gloves, they're 20-25 a pair

If it can help you in any way, I myself started airsoft not so long ago and was (still 'am) on a budget!

After reading tons of threads on what's essential and what's not I first checked my closets for some useful items. Maybe you won't find much but it's still worth it, you never know! Personally, both my in-laws (parents) we're in the 22e royal regiment so I already had access to some t-shirts (those OD v-necks are sooo comfortable!) And other small stuff.

I currently use my working boots to play, it's not the flashyiest/most beautiful piece of equipment I own but they have been serving me well all those years and offer some protection to my ankles. +1 to pusangani, I bought myself some mechanix gloves and removed most of the unecessary stitchings, they are comfortable and fit almost perfectly on my hands (very rare in my case).

When looking for goggles I stumbled upon a thread where a "Pyramex" brand was discussed and I had the chance to try those for a game before buying a pair (this very friday actually!) Those are really cheap and are ANSI rated!

For the rest of my basic setup I went with some inexpensive duty belt, drop-leg holster, pistol mag pouch from ehobby. I play with an AK so I got myself a ChiCom chest-rig to hold the spare mags.

I like to play OpFor/terrorist so it's not that important to get a full camo set-up just now.

Sorry for the litterature, but I hope it helps!

Or the "PMC"ish look can be achieved easily too, if you have an Armalite or something.
