Camoflage and Vest Colour

Just keep asking,
I know ideally it best to have vest in the camo as the BDU, but that's hard...and expensive (unless you want CADPAT ,ACU or Multicam)

Generally speaking, what is the best matching camo to vest colour? (these are what I know is good)

Olive Drab
->Olive Drab
->CADPAT
->Woodland
->MARPAT
Coyote Tan
->Woodland MARPAT (works pretty well for me)
->Desert MARPAT
->Arid CADPAT
->
->
Foliage Green
->ACU
->
Black
->Black

I'm considering getting a second BDU, need help deciding

Coyote Tan generally looks good with everything.

Depends on what kind of look your going for. But it is generally agreed that Coyote Tan (as mentioned) for gear (ie boots, gloves, pads, vest ect.) works in most situations.

A good point is to maintain a similar colour for all gear as it will help to prevent you from having a disparity that will make you easier to see.

I like the OD vest with flectarn but some would say that sucks. It also depends on what the area looks like around you... Just no black vest for outdoor games

How about black with anything. I know its hard finding black vests some times, but it looks good with black, tan, multicam, urban and woodland I find.

Black is an unnatural color. Even when outside in the darkest conditions, there is still some ambient light and black is easy to see. Save the black stuff and a big ol' "SWAT" logo for indoor games.

As for outdoor colors, it really depends on your area and what kind of camo you want to run. If it is lots of woodlands, OD may work good. If you play in big grassy fields, tan may work better. A couple weeks ago I was lying on the good in some dead leafs I could not be spotted. I had MARPAT and OD on.

Your play style also factors into things. If you run around doing battle cry's swinging a giant LMG with a big rattling box mag, it doesn't really matter what you wear. If you a sneaky person that doesn't like running around and prefer to lie down waiting for the enemy to come to you (like me) then something that matches your surrounding works best.

I have low money and the cheapest vest i could find was black. In the dark it is good for breaking up my body shape but it is also very hot in the sun being black

Negative: In the Dark, you create a void, which is easier to see than you would think.

Do not wear black in nature, it stands out: Day or night.

I use the TW Cadpat and an OD vest, works very well. I will probably get some Cadpat fabric and glue strips of it to my mag pouch covers to give it a nice Cadpat look also.

Sorry for the small bump, but does anybody have a picture of cadpat with coyote brown gear?

The RRV I want is sold out in OD, and I do like the CB look.

i just bought a bunch of OD gear. i wear marpat, which it looks good in, also i will be good for the night game, blends in with shadows really well.

a lot of companies, call tan coyote brown/tan. coyote brown should be a dark brown, the same colour of the brown in marpat. but a lot of gear out there is the desert colour tan, which i don't like with a woodland colour scheme.
